In his last 4 games Akeem is 25 for 44 on three's for an unconscious 57%!!!!!!!!!!!!
He is about 45% for three's on the year
Has not started ANY games - just a fireplug off the bench for the Pirates
rod is right on this article. I don't believe that the Barons were surprised by his dismissal from URI. Jim Baron knew he was in trouble from the time Jimmy was in his senior year when that team did not make the NCAA. Though the next two seasons were winning ones, the program's slide was evident. Jim was in trouble with his recruiting and this fact led to his increasingly panicked behavior on recruiting which resulted in poor quality recruits. Team dissension and player dismissals were the natural result and the Rams' record the last two seasons of 15- 44 (to date) are really his legacy.

Bad hire when Skerry left. He needed to hire another young hustling recruiter and for some unknown reason he took a chance on a guy with international connections who brought Nik and Shengelia. It was a killer.
Among other sins, Baron had a a hit-and-miss record in hiring assistants.
"Every season, college basketball has one or two teams that rise from dormancy to relevancy, squads that make long-awaited charges at the NCAA Tournament and become really fun storylines along the way."
Speaking of Skerry, clearly he wasn't listening while at the right hand of Baron: Towson finished the season on an 8-1 run.

Sources indicate that Hurley may be visiting Sponge Holton who signed with Rick Pitino Jr. before he left for Minnesota....leaving Holton's destination for next year up in the air.....
F*ck Alacki, DarthFriar, DirtyBeanFriar94, xCoachK, Boxworth, Friar Faithful, bicycleicycle, Matt_Keough, Patrick Norton, the Rosato brothers, and especially Benjamin Lord !

For what its worth, Holton has indicated on his facebook page that "Really happy my recruitment open back up thank god for all the opportunity he bless me with dreams coming into reality !"
Looks like he won't be following Dick Pitino Jr. to Minny...
Holton is a beast, everybody deserves a second chance. I was such a punk my freshman year, I just wasn't a D1 Basketball player. If true, I'd welcome sponge back to Rhody.

I was a punk too, but I wasn't a felon. That said, if Hurley/Thorr/Dooley were convinced that Holton had turned his life around, including his classroom work, then I'm all for 2nd chances too. Who knows...never say never....
I really don't think there's even the slightest chance Dan wants anything to do with the baggage Jonathan would carry back to his program. Who knows if Jonathan would even take academics seriously. He sure didn't when he was here.
His felony charges in Rhode Island are still pending as well, which are somewhat surprising. Once he committed, I figured he would try to work out a plea and/or a dismissal.

I'm told there is no interest on either side. Holton's release will be official soon and then he'll start looking at schools.

If URI didn't expel JH, then they will take him back. However, he may be on academic probation and ineligible to play. I'm not sure whether DH wants him. I'm not sure whether JH want to come back to URI. He would be an impact player.
Good for him…..and GREAT FOR HUGGINS! From the moment Holton signed, sooner or later, he'll have another disgruntled nimrod and his negative act on television.
