Leggett way better then Ace?? Huh? Two different players n games. Ace is the real deal. He was hurt and missed lot AAU.
Yeah, I’d agree here. Ace can ball, my tune changed on him quickly.

PSA beat Team Durant 73-66. TD had trouble shooting against a taller PSA team. The size bothered them.
Leggett had a tough game with foul trouble. He had 3 fouls in the first half. Scored back to back baskets in the 3rd and picked up his 4th foul on the next defensive possession (questionable call on a pick). He didn’t play a lot after that. Ended up with 6 points on 2-9 FG (some missed threes late). Baldwin looked better but shot 2-9 for 4 points.

Another tough game for Leggett. This could be a positive for Rhody. Didn’t want him to explode at PJ and have the P5s all over him.

seems to also be getting into foul trouble - haven't watched any of the games but might mean he is struggling to keep up on d. but agree, blowing up at PJ will not help the Rhody cause.

This team can shoot free throws - 81 % as team is pretty good.

Bounce back game this morning for Team Durant and Leggett. Team beats Houston Hoops 86-82 and Leggett scores 21 points on 9-17 FG. Was 2-7 FT. Houston Hoops didn’t have the size like PSA had.

Leggett’s fouls have been on fighting thru screens and reaching on rebounds after he misses a shot. His defense is solid and often covered the top G on the other team.

This is a good highlight of Leggett’s offensive skills. These are the types of plays I have seen in the three games I have watched this week.

Looks to be more of a driver/slasher/defender

No problem with that - Shooting should be one of the easiest skills to develop in basketball

Leggett plays well in a losing effort. 24 points on 8-14 FG and 7-7 FT. Team Durant finishes 2-3. So many fouls (Seattle took 42 FTs). TD had no defense down low. #5 for Seattle Paolo Banchero (34 points) is very good.

He is a slasher and a very good finisher with either hand.

Said it before, but the strength and body control reminds me of JT. once he gets a consistent shot he will be very difficult to guard

small status update on Illinois recruiting - no mention of Leggett. They are currently targeting the top Illinois '20s, including Adam Miller (SG, 30th overall in Rivals). At this point, Leggett is not a priority for the them.

DC might have a better idea.
I believe Rhody has been his only OV.
It would seem that he would narrow it down in the next month and make any other OVs in Sept/Oct.
This assumes he is on the Nov decision path.

The Wake offer isn’t a good sign. This is starting to feel like the recruiting process Rhody went thru with Anthony Walker last year.

Long gaps after visit are not good. I've thought for awhile he was going elsewhere

He also hasn’t gone anywhere else besides St. Joe’s. I still like our chances. WF while they are a conference threat, I’d take URI over them 7 times out of 10.

I am still holding out hope for Leggett because of Rhody’s ties to SJC.

I agree about the gap from the visit.
Maybe Rhody should target Sept/Oct visits. I realize they try to get a commitment on the early visit. It has worked with players they most likely would have got a commitment from in Sept/Oct - Long and Wood. It hasn’t worked for Walker, Bishop (unofficial) and now Leggett. The top players want to consider other offers and make other visits before deciding.

I could be wrong, but I don't believe she has tweeted a "thank you" to every coach. She tweeted to Manning and to Underwood, and she tweeted thanks to Coach Cox as well. A couple others too... UAB and Charlotte.

Anyway, I hope we can get him.

Illinois has gone 4-14 (11th) and 7-13 (10th) in Brad Underwood’s two years. I don’t see them getting out of the bottom tier of the Big Ten any time soon. Last year their overall record was 12-21.

As Ace previously mentioned, Danny Manning is on the hot seat at Wake. He has been at Wake for five years. His teams have gone 4-14/11-20 both of the last two years. He has one winning season in 5 years. His winning % in the ACC is .267. Outside of 16-17 year he has four losing seasons with the best of those being 13-19.

The AD who gave Manning a contract extension two+ years ago has retired. A new AD was hired in March of this year and has no loyalty to Manning.

Not sure a good recruiting prospect would be comfortable committing to Manning because he might not be there in ‘20.

I understand players can be attracted by the P5 but who wants to play on a losing team for four years? 12-21 is a miserable time for all.
The Wake Forest situation is much worse. Committing to a coach who could be fired in Mar/April is not a good move.
