In results of a late game, Texas beat West Virginia, 61-54. While the game was close, Texas was in front most of the time.

But, am I the only one that thinks - as skeezy a move as it was by them - maybe it's not so horrible that we didn't play them this year anyway?

It would've been great to host a top 10 team.
Really sucks that we missed out on that.

However, I dont think we would've been too happy with the result...
Unless we went all New Mexico on them.
New Mexico had looked as bad as us coming into that game.

Their largest crowd of the year was still far less than URI's smallest YTD crowd of 4,828 for a week night game versus Brown. The UMass team, with four home losses thus far this season (Harvard/Howard/Holy Cross/LaSalle) is certainly not giving local fans much incentive to come to the Mullins Center these days. Seems that hockey is now the sport to follow in Amherst.

Their avid Twitter posters had them as Top 3 in the A10 this year. Oh well, another UMass miss

GW comes back to lead by 7 in the 2nd. If St Joe’s blows this the grumbling is going to get loud on Hawk Hill.

In a stunner, Saint Joseph's fails to defend their home court against GW who recovers from a first half deficit that maxed at 12 to beat the Hawks, 70-56!!!

Hawks get beat by GW 70-56. St Joe's has completely run out of gas in both of its first two A-10 league games. Outscored by the Georges (Mason and Washington) in the 2nd half by a stunning combined margin of 96-50. Making matters worse is that both games were at home in Hagan Arena. Injuries are not an excuse for the team as in recent years.
