6’7 2014 Jeremiah Ingram of Colby Community College
Originally from Detroit area. Not much info on him.
Ingram was a very intriguing prospect. We liked his ability to put the ball on the floor, although he has a tendency to dribble with his back to the basket at times. That being said, Ingram made a few big time moves off the dribble. One was his right to left cross over move that got him to the rim almost every single time and the other was a nifty reverse spin move that he used near the paint. Ingram was able to finish around the rim using either hand or we really liked the ability to Ingram stepping out and knocking down 3-point perimeter jumpers. He has really good elevation on his jumper with a high release, although he will need to get his shot off quicker at times. He created a mismatch at the WG position with his length and height.
Sounds like Desmond Williams type.
PC gets top 100 to replace ABU and we get
juco who nobody knows about to replace Terrell.
25% from three? 40% FG overall?
Who knows? Supposedly Creighton and Wichita State are
involved.
Kid's a 3.0 student, and highly athletic. He's a forward, not a SG.
So, how is he a stretch 4 at 215 6'7"?
I'm confused here.
Talked to someone who actually has seen him play, and he tells me this kid is very good.
Have to trust staff on this.
Got it. I was thrown off by Iggy's post saying something was going to pop soon, then this post coming soon after. And when I saw the post was from Rod (who is usually the first to know) I thought it was a lock.
As I said in other thread, staff is looking at SFs.
"Every season, college basketball has one or two teams that rise from dormancy to relevancy, squads that make long-awaited charges at the NCAA Tournament and become really fun storylines along the way."
Guess they feel 2015 class is stronger and they'll have 3 scholarships
to recruit with.
I thought Hassan was told he'd be the future 3.
Maybe this guy is for front court depth?
In conference play he shot 13.8 percent from 3. He had 76 assists and 135 turnovers. Can't see taking a player with these numbers for two years.

Relax…..He's a Michigan guy, perhaps Coach Murphy saw something in him two years ago. There's nothing wrong with following up, being seen. Maybe a an old fashioned late bloomer…..

Yeah i'm sure anybody they bring in at the 3 at this point isnt going to be to play over Hassan at the 3. Need to have some depth.
OK, word today is, this kid is getting out of his LOI
with San Jose State, and we're recruiting him again.
APR sanctions and a coaching change, could make an incoming player
change his mind.
He was a Preston recruit, so who knows how this could go?
He has asked for his release but the school hasn't given it yet. From what I hear a school has to respond in 30 days and they're about halfway through that time.
Since Preston was the connection, maybe all this is a moot point, although I don't know that BC is going to be accepting jucos.

As I said way back when I began this thread, I spoke to
an AAU coach who'd seen him play.
This guy said Ingraham can play. Not sure he fits the need for a shooter
by any means.
After thinking it was Albert, this is a big disappointment. Albert would have been
a better X.
Oh, well.........One more scholarship to give. Maybe they'll come up with a miracle.
This would be the wing they were looking for, not the shooter. Still would have one scholarship left. Very athletic and would push JR for playing time.
The spring is not shaping up as a great recruiting period, that's for sure.

Team has two openings and it looks like Hurley wants a wing and a shooter. Have no idea who the shooter would be.

But he also likes to save one. And if he's just going to get guys at this point who won't contribute, I'd rather save them. Like Rod said, why waste them?
I'm a little surprised there was excitement about Albert who is small and can't shoot and negativity about Ingram. I personally doubt we add a shooter or anybody else if Ingram comes. The only shooter out there good enough to get PT is Cooke and he wants a giftwrapped NBA career.
Albert scored 24.4 ppg. on 46.4% shooting on a very good team. He can score. Period.
Watch the films. He's an impressive, exciting player.
Look at the list of interested schools for Albert and look at the list
for Ingraham (if you can find one).
These guys aren't on the same planet.
