5-3 loss to close out the regular season. Valiant effort to take the first two on the road vs Dayton, but disappointing result for the season to miss out on the A10 tournament.

Re: 2024 baseball
Raphael Cerrato is now 129-81 in the Atlantic 10 and just had his first losing conference season, missing out on the A10 tournament for the second time in nine seasons. Our place in the standings have been tied for 2nd, 1st, 2nd, tied for 7th, 6th, 1st in the North, 4th, 7th, 8th.
It feels like this is a facilities issue, like we deal with in so many of our sports. The bump our program received when we were an early adopter in the region of having a turf field is now gone with more programs making the switch and with our turf reaching the end of its life cycle. The good news is we're scheduled for $10 million in improvements to Beck Field

Good recap, Ramster. Much appreciated. I normally wouldn’t know about this stuff if I didn’t peruse this section.

The growth in the Greenville Spartanburg area is incredible. Lots of job growth. Many retirees also. Low cost of living and mild winters. Building like crazy there.

Ideally located about half way between fast growing Charlotte and Atlanta (3.5 hour drive between the two big cities on I-85)NYGFan_Section208 wrote: ↑2 weeks agoA fun downtown, on (I think Thursday nights in the summer) they block off a good portion of Main Street...beer vendors, live music, good times..at least that's how I remember it
Clemson University is close to Greenville
Greenville Drive Baseball Team is a High-A Minor League Affiliate of the Red Sox. Stadium even has a left field wall similar to Fenway and the Red Sox Ft Myers Spring Training facility.

Hughes Signs with New York Boulders
Story Links
KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhode Island Baseball's Tommy Hughes has signed with the New York Boulders of the Frontier League.
An official partner of Major League Baseball, the Boulders are based out of Pomona, N.Y. The right-handed pitcher officially inked his contract on June 4.
Hughes came to Rhode Island by way of Southern Connecticut State and established himself as the Rams' closer. He led the team with a 2.28 ERA, a perfect 4-0 record and five saves. The Newington, Conn. native struck out 39 batters in 27.2 innings of work and limited opposing hitters to a .160 average.
He is the first Ram to sign on to play professionally in 2024. A year ago, both Mark Coley II (Miami Marlins) and Addison Kopack (San Diego Padres) were picked up by Major League organizations. Rhode Island has multiple other former players still in action in Steve Moyers (2013-16; Diablos Rojos del Mexico), Martin Figueroa (2014-17; High Point Rockers) and Jackson Coutts (2018-20; Nothern Colorado Owlz). Former Ram Chris Hess (2014-17) is a hitting coach in the Boston Red Sox organization.
