Conference schedule breakdown
Everyone has said things will get a little bit easier after the Dayton game, so I wanted to see how our schedule broke down, using NET for the numbers.
The first half of the season is tougher. We have 5 home games, 4 away games, and the average current NET of the teams we play is 106. The second half we have 4 home games, 5 away games, but the average NET is 138.
If you break that down into three 6 game chunks, our first six games have an average NET of 96, our middle six have an average NET of 124, and our last six have an average NET of 144.
UMass this past Saturday through the game at St. Bonaventure is our toughest three game stretch of the year, with 2 road games and an average NET of 60. Our next toughest three game stretch not involving the games I just mentioned will be the stretch of at UMass, vs Loyola, vs Richmond, but we'll only have 1 road game in there and the average NET is 96.
We're 1 game into our toughest three game stretch of the year/just starting our toughest 2 games in a row, but overall starting 3-0 in conference play is really great with the road ahead. Putting 3 wins up in the toughest part of the schedule bodes well for the rest of the season. If we're doing this in the toughest part of our schedule then I can't see anyway we'd end up 10th or lower and in the play-in games and it gives us a real shot at trying to get a double bye

Re: Conference schedule breakdown
Double Bye is the number one goal. Attaining that after the start they had would fully instill the possibility that anything can happen. It usually takes 12 wins to get a top 4 seed with 13 being a safer number. So, go 10-5 the rest of the way and it gets you a double bye. Some would say that is VERY attainable.

Need to be laser focused vs the Bonnie’s
A lost and we likely be back closer to 500
Record (3-2)
A win and we are playing w Josie money vs Dayton
Bonnie’s game will prove if we are ready to take the gloves off and fight our asses off
