Well, he's not going to be on the hot seat this year or next. So, sit back and wait. Ok? The only thing we can do is wait to see what happens. I never would have imagined after the first 3 games that we'd at the point now 11 games in where House and Zek don't even deserve to see the floor in the second half. I didn't expect us to be very good, but I at least expected us to be a competitive team.

Because he was ruled ineligible and he was hurt he moved to his own schedule.
He is not ready to play right now because of sentence one and sentence two.
Was this explained slow enough for everyone? Because this has been explained multiple times yet some people seem incapable of grasping these basic concepts.

If we strike out on our biggest portal guys it’s a disaster.
If you’re gonna coach a complicated system you have to have players who are capable (and willing) to take the coaching.
This is looking real grim at the moment.

I don’t think someone forgets how to coach. But maybe? I agree with the team regressing. We looked like we were giving more effort when we were down 22-2 vs Northwestern. Since that run to cut it to 5 in that game we have flat out stunk.

How many will leave after this abomination this year, of their own accord or shown the door?
Might want to recruit good defensive players and a few that can make FT's better than a grade school level.
And Miller should ditch the pack line defense. It takes a while to learn, and by the time his "guys" learn it they will be in the portal again.
Has the game passed him by? I really think this is a legitimate question.

With the new transfer rules it is possible to get good quickly versus having to develop players over 3 to 4 years. And now they wont stay that long anyway, if they're any good that is.
We are so far away from getting good any time soon it's ridiculous. Really nothing to look forward to right now
Such a massive letdown.

So, so, so, now what? Archie is here for a while. My question is, can he adapt to the current CBB hoops environment? When those fast ball flame throwers loose it they go to junk pitches to survive, time for Archie to get another pitch off the vaunted packline.

Re: 12/16 | Delaware | 4:30PM (FloHoops) | Holiday Hoopfest
I mean, his rotations were odd today. He was the reason we went down big in the 1st half. It was clear Zek and House were ice cold and playing hero ball. He took Cam and Ways out, who were playing well together, and we went down 8-10 a few minutes later. He then starts the same team out of the half. We look like shit. We somewhat cut into the lead thanks to Cam and Rory, and instead of attempting to press and see if we could cause some turnovers to get some quick pts, we just kept trading baskets with them. Why didn't he try to get Luis into the post more? They should be happening every single game, and it's not..I thought he coached a bad game. Again...
So whether it's the players he's recruiting or the way he's coaching in games, something isn't clicking, and it's on him.

Re: 12/16 | Delaware | 4:30PM (FloHoops) | Holiday Hoopfest
Besides suspect talent, this team continues to show the key markers of immaturity:
• Blowing large leads in wins versus inferior opponents.
• Inability to show team cohesiveness and improvement
• Long periods of inept play allowing opponent to go on a run. Delaware went on 15-0 run in six minutes.
• Inability to come from behind
• High number of turnovers.
So far this team has recorded five double digit losses. Last year’s team had 5 in the entire regular season. This team often shows "give-up" body language.

Re: 12/16 | Delaware | 4:30PM (FloHoops) | Holiday Hoopfest

Not how things are done.theblueram wrote: ↑6 months agoAre there any players in the portal that can help us now? If so, get em and get rid of some players. My question is, can he adapt to the current CBB hoops environment? Yea let’s kick off players cus they stink, that’ll look great to prospective hs kids and transfers interested in coming here.
