He tweets that out after every win, along with a ton of other coaches.
Nothing special about the tweet.

Re: A10 Outlook for 2023-24
When was the last time Rothstein tweeted out a nice compliment like this one about Archie Miller? Not since Archie has been here. Don't recall anything like this during the Cox 4 year debacle. So back 7 years to Hurley??
It might be common for some HC's and Programs but not common at all for URI for 6 long years.
Sunday was the Biggest win for Archie Miller since coming to URI. That helped get the Rothstein recognition. Could be the 2nd best team we will play this season immediately followed by the highest ranked team we will play in PC at the Dunk.
So I'll gladly acknowledge and savor the Rothstein compliment, enjoy the week following Archie's biggest URI win and head to the Dunk Saturday afternoon for the biggest OOC game of the season.

He's tweeted it out multiple times this season after we won, as recently as the big game against D3 JWU.
He also did it last season.

Ramster, I think he tweeted that about Archie once last season, too. But that said, I will take any positive mention of Archie or Rhody from a national pundit.ramster wrote: ↑6 months agoWhen was the last time Rothstein tweeted out a nice compliment like this one about Archie Miller? I think Rothstein has his guys and his programs that he does this for. Miller he's had the same line since he was at Dayton. Same for Hurley back to Rhody days (not sure if at Wagner).

Yes and no there's nothing special about it.
No, because he does it after every Archie win, so this one specific one isn't special.
Yes, because this program can use every bit of national attention possible, and this does that

Wow, injuries really impacting the A10 this season.
Hunt was one of the better transfers to the A10, was All-NEC last season.

The conferences non-conference record is 57-28 right now.
Finished 109-78 last year (barf) Looks like it's on pace to finish a lot better than that.

They have SMU, UNLV and Cincinnati left. If they can run the table the rest of the way in the OOC, I think that'll put them in a good spot.

Re: A10 Outlook for 2023-24
As mentioned in the other thread; Dayton, Bonnies, Duquesne, and St. Joe's look like the best teams in the A10, so far.
Probably followed by GW and GM, after that anyone's guess.
Maybe we see a step-up in VCU and Richmond if and when Bairstow and Hunt return.

Re: A10 Outlook for 2023-24
Kenpom currently has it at:
1 Dayton (56)
2 Duquesne (83)
3 Bonaventure (84)
4 St. Joe's (88)
5 Richmond (90)
6 George Mason (98)
7 VCU (105)
8 Davidson (120)
9 Loyola (121)
10 UMass (142)
11 George Washington (158)
12 URI (190)
13 Fordham (198)
14 St. Louis (206)
15 La Salle (217)
Last year, the range for teams in the final ranking was VCU (60) to URI (255), with only three teams in the Top 100, and six between 101 and 200. So, the conference does seem better so far, through seven to nine games for most teams (roughly 25 to 30 percent of the season). Judging from VCU's slow tumble downward, previous season results are gradually being filtered out for games this year. Teams #2 through #6 are separated by just 15 spots. I'd probably have Joe's and GW a bit higher, VCU and UMass lower.
La Salle (7-2) looks like a prime contender to be this year's 2022-23 Fordham. Their strength of schedule is currently 341, and lost by 9 to Temple and 29 to Duke. Only two of their seven wins are by 10+ points, and they have three wins by a single point. That'll probably revert at some point.

Re: A10 Outlook for 2023-24
Another non “cartel” transfer waiver.
So people really can’t say only the P6 schools are getting waivers.
It’d be worthwhile if the NCAA explained why players don’t get waivers.
People would still get pissed, but would at least be transparent.

Re: A10 Outlook for 2023-24
I will look at the bright side on this one. At least we will have Green for an entire season.
Now if Hammond lives up to the hype and becomes our next really good PG.....we certainly need one.
And then with a healthy Bilau and more experienced Fuchs, maybe we will have something..
Next year. And maybe even some of these guys shoot FT's better too.
Asking for a lot since this season's going to suck again.

Re: A10 Outlook for 2023-24
Interesting that the 2 teams that had the most total wins last season VCU (27) and Fordham (25) are both currently tied for the worst record (5-5) along with us and Richmond.
My current top 4:
1. Dayton
2. Bonnies (with a healthy Pride)
3. Duquesne
4. St. Joes
Followed closely by GW and GM.
