Glad we have enough press area to cover this game like we are the Beatles playing at shea
Sorry thorr but you couldn’t be more wrong on this one
Yes, cause lack of seating for fans was a big issue yesterday
Agreed. For the laundry list of things that negatively affect the gameday experience here:
WiFi, replays, concessions, Yorke, etc… I think I can count on 2 hands the amount of non-PC sellouts at the Ryan center. The press area seating is a nothingburger.
I don’t think any player has sat on the bench and said “man this 1/2 empty building is great, but why is there a black curtain across from me”
Lack of seating at J&W is not the issue ECR is referring to. When BlueMan posted the pic to show the attendance for J&W my first thought was look at that ugly press area. Nobody else does that.
There are only 7, maybe 8, press in the seating/tables - about 30% capacity). The black curtain is hideous even partly open at the right corner. Front row of seats has coats draped over the black curtain. Looks trashy.
Ryan wasn't designed originally for this. Somebody's awful idea to remove prime seats, closest to court and make 2 press rows with tables.
Just extend the existing front row press row that Steve and Chris are reporting the game from (Steve and Don used to be on the player bench side) the length of the court. Trash the hideous black curtain and put the seats back as original design to fill the gap and make the seats symmetrical.
It's an ugly black hole that is not necessary.
Simple, easy, little or no cost since the old seats still exist in storage.
Doesn't have to be either/or. Fix the black curtain hole, fix the Ry-Fi, fix the Phone Connection issue, improve food quality and reduce food cost.
Improve fan experience.
ECR is tight. It's ugly.
