Syeed Gibbs - Defensive Rookie of the Year - Redshirt Freshman
Kahtero Summers - 1st team WR - Graduate
Lorenzo Thompson - 1st team OL - Redshirt Senior
Evan Stewart - 2nd team LB - Senior
Gabe Sloat - 3rd team PR - Redshirt Junior
Westley Neal, Jr. - 3rd team DL - Junior
A.J. Pena - 3rd team LB - Sophomore
Brent Jackson - 3rd team S - Graduate
Kasim Hill - honorable mention - Redshirt Senior
Ja'Den McKenzie - honorable mention - Graduate
Marquis Buchanan - honorable mention - Redshirt Freshman
Sebastian Delasoudas - honorable mention - Redshirt Senior
So our returning core, assuming no transfers, is a defensive rookie of the year CB (Gibbs), 3rd team PR who can be a good third down back (Sloat), 3rd team DL (Neal, Jr.), 3rd team LB (Pena), and honorable mention WR (Buchanan)

Re: Postseason CAA awards
Someone please explain to me how Pena got less than 2nd team? He had nine sacks, and I know him dropping the RB behind the line of scrimmage doesn't count as a sack, but he was so active he looked like the 2nd coming of Lawrence Taylor out there.
He's easily the one I am most worried about losing.

Agree. Not sure how Pena is 3rd team while Stewart 2nd. The middle of our defense was sorta sieve like this year.

Re: Postseason CAA awards
Yeah, 9 sacks for 54 yards, but an additional 15.5 tackles for loss for 84 yards.
It's like on the original techmo bowl game when certain players like LT, Ronnie Lott, Jerry Rice and Bo Jackson just had crazy stats and could dart all over the screen no problem. The NY Giants were especially dominant on D because you had LT on the right with 21 sacks and Carl Banks on the left with 18, so there was no escape.
