Dayton 7-22 from 3 in the first half
WTF is Grant doing?
"Hey guys, just pass it around the perimeter and shoot threes, or hand it off to Holmes so he can shoot a 3 or drive it."

Is it at all possible PC's defense had something to do with that ineptitude?

Well well well....
Dayton transformed into a different team, stopped jacking threes, pressured the ball, got higher percentage shots and won that thing!

For sure PCs defense played a role. But Wisc was also a mediocre team that returned their whole roster of mediocre players. I would assume they play towards the middle or bottom of Big10 and that Gard gets canned at end of year. The natives have been restless for awhile in Madison following the success of his predecessor.woodennickel1 wrote: ↑7 months ago

Amazing comeback for Dayton, down by 15 with nine minutes left and they beat LSU. The crowd had tons of Dayton supporters and its this traveling fan base among other factors that gets Dayton invited to the best early season tournaments.

They were picked for 5th in the Big 10 also added AJ Stoor from St John's who is a pretty good player. Gard has actually been Big ten coach of the year two times. I think they will be better then you think played Tennessee pretty closely before losing by ten last week.bigappleram wrote: ↑7 months agoFor sure PCs defense played a role. Big 10 consistently one of the most overrated conferences year after year. Never win when it matters most.
Lot was made Wisconsin brought back everyone.
That’s great and all for continuity, except everyone stunk last year.

So I guess you will have no problem with Northwestern? Also since Big Ten stinks it won't mean much if you win.Rhody15 wrote: ↑7 months agoThey sucked last year and will suck this year.woodennickel1 wrote: ↑7 months agoThey were picked for 5th in the Big 10 also added AJ Stoor from St John's who is a pretty good player. You were at home with two All League players, two 5th year productive seniors, and a potential one and done lottery pick.
We will be at a neutral site, with a whole new team, playing against one of the best players in America.
Cannot even begin to compare the two games.
No idea how you guys weren’t favored, that was an absolute layup bet.

Idk pretty good win by PC. Wisconsin looked like a completely different team against Tennessee. Hard to judge that win now.

So far, 78 has my vote for post of the season.
Wooden walked right into that one. He served up a big fat beach ball and 78 blasted it out of the park. Well done.

Wow Bonnies. Why did you have to lose to Canisus??
That said, P5 wins will help the NET for all in the A10.

Head scratching. Some good wins and puzzling losses.
Let’s hope the losses don’t hurt too bad and see if we can’t add a couple more OOC P5 W’s this weekend.

St Louis is getting stomped by Vermont, 47-32 at the half. I know UVM is a solid team, but SLU is getting dominated in every phase of the game especially in the paint. Another A10 team who I have not been impressed with, perhaps we'll surprise and finish higher than expected. Cant wait to see RI for the first time tomorrow at Mohegan Sun, win or lose, we'll know a lot more about where we stand after the Northwestern game.

Jersey had posted that SLU lost their leading scorer to injury last game, I believe. Injuries are taking their toll on the A10 OOC performance, unfortunately.
We need to stay healthy this season.

Shorthanded St Louis goes down to Vermont 78-68.
Fordham is up 39-29 at the half against Norfolk State in the US Virgin Islands.

n the UVM-SLU match-up, while both teams had outstanding 3 Pt shooting, UVM 11-24 vs. SLU 10-18, UVM dominated the game from the outset and never trailed.

Vermont is for real and they are well coached. It is a shame that Parker is out. I wasn’t that high on SLU before the injury, now much less so. Their roster has become very thin.
