Rod, probably more people like you than you think. Despite your prickliness, your devotion to Rhody hoops is endearing, and that you pull no punches makes you one of the more entertaining posters here.

Re: Reports from Pre-Italy Open Practice
My daughter tells me I'm turning into Clint Eastwood's Gran Torino character.
"Get off my lawn!"
No, the reception I got at Rhody Joe's, being mentioned by Dan and Steve in their
comments to the crowd, having Chris DiSano telling someone he wasn't leaving until he met me,
guys like Thorr, Preston, Daryl Jasper, Adam Schemm, Don Kaull and his wife, and Bob Terino always being so courteous and kind to
me and my family, having posters coming up to me and introducing themselves, all very gratifying.
Except for the woman who said,
"You're a pain in the ass!"
The Hurley era has been a dream, so far.

I also get cheers everywhere I go, but usually when I leave.

Re: Reports from Pre-Italy Open Practice
Just finished reading all this thread after some time away. I loved being able to witness the practice, was very impressed with nearly everyone who took the court. Martin showed a better outside shot than I expected, hitting a few corner 3s. ECs length at the PG position is remarkable, he could really be a terror defensively if he puts in the work. So excited to see this team for real.

To calm down my enthusiasm about the team and the practice, I needed to give myself a little dose of wisdom from one of the greatest philosopher-athletes of all time.
