Wow, impressive video, his quickness reminds me a little of Fatts. Hope we get him.

Yes, looking good for us.Billyboy78 wrote: ↑1 year agoAnd the guy who picked it is Colby Giacubeno from Maryland who is very tied in to recruiting in the DMV area. Colby is 100% correct on his picks going 79 for 79. It's looking really good!
If we land Ben, I like our youth in the backcourt with Ways, Cam, and Dubs, hope they become solid contributors.
Wonder if they all stick around.

Agreed, I definitely think we want him to. I'm pretty excited about this kid.Billyboy78 wrote: ↑1 year agoWe definitely want him. He's the leader of one of the best high school teams in the country. His teammates are all going P6. He would be too if it weren't for his size. He's fast, tough and very talented. The school I'd be most concerned about is Mason since Ben is from Virginia.

Tell him to check ESPN's site. They have him as a 4* .Jersey77 wrote: ↑1 year agoI think even Blueram would be excited if he commits.adam914 wrote: ↑1 year agoAgreed, I definitely think we want him to. I'm pretty excited about this kid.Billyboy78 wrote: ↑1 year ago

I've seen him listed anywhere from 5'8" to 5'11". I actually don't care how tall he is. He's a really good player.

Re: '24 VA PG Ben Hammond
If he’s a 4 star, how come so little interest from big name schools? His size?
Regardless, the kid looks great. Quick as lightning. I think someone said this earlier but he reminds me of Fatts.

Recently upgraded to a 4* I think, was a 3* in his junior year but was playing next to all 4*/5* star teammates who are going P6 on the 5th best HS team in the nation.SandorClegane wrote: ↑11 months ago If he’s a 4 star, how come so little interest from big name schools? His size?

Re: '24 VA PG Ben Hammond
Welcome to URI Ben!
Hammond appears to be the highest rated recruit to date by Miller to URI from the high school/ prep level. Hopefully we will begin to see more talented players like him commit to Rhody.

Extra props to him for saying a time and the announcement dropped at 4 pm on the dot. Hate when you're left waiting until like 4:38 or something.

Do we have an available scholarship for him?
I assume someone already asked but I missed it.

Re: '24 VA PG Ben Hammond
Don’t believe we do but can’t stop recruiting.
We’ll most likely have multiple transfers next off season.
House is also listed as as senior, so he may choose to go pro overseas or whatnot.
Go Rhody

I’m disappointed we haven’t heard from blue. Cmon man this one should have passed your muster 3 borderline 4 star from a national powerhouse.

Re: '24 VA PG Ben Hammond
Can't wait to follow Paul VI this year. I believe they have 4 starters back (including Ben) from a team that was one of the top teams in the country last year. They might be the best team in the country this year. Reminds me of when we got Jiggy Williamson when Wilbur Cross from Connecticut was the #1 high school team in the country in 1974.
