Strong showing for P5 Conferences
Someone explain to me why VCU is in here
Basmisile can’t even play due to transfer rules
Nelson is an ok pickup
And their center from Louisville only played 7 mins/game on the worst Louisville teams in probably 50 years
Agreed VCU shouldn’t be on that list right now. They’re going to land Efton Reid from Gonzaga but he would have to sit to transfer rules because it’s his 2nd time.

Yeah I wouldn’t put much stock in that @ all , I like our class over VCU
Lot of guys still on the list without a home. It's going to be like musical chairs at the end. Does anyone know how many scholarships remain available and how many players remain on the list???

VCU just picked up 2 quality transfers from Utah State, Shulga and Bairstow.
Would be nice with his length (6'8") and shooting ability, considered a sniper.
Probably a Woodward connection, from NYC and played at St. Benedict's in NJ.
I am guessing we are a big longshot here, lots of P6 interest.
Woodward the lead. Odd he's still available. Harvard seemed the early leader. Deep shooter.
Heard the staff is happy with how the transfers worked out and are open to a freshman with last ship.

247 has him listed as a 3*, not sure if he fell or if he is listed as a 4* on another recruiting site. I think the point is moot, however, in that he's clearly a lean wing shooter. Recently he's been putting on more weight, he kind of reminds of Jacob Toppin's body/habitus, before he first showed up.
Looks like St. John's and Seton Hall have first dibs on him, he'll have to slip through I'm guessing for us to get him. He already took his Pitino visit, it was a "great visit" in Mahoney's opinion, but who really knows with Pitino, he might consider him a fall back option.

He might have been down graded. I don't think it affects his recruiting with us, but it might explain why some other teams started prioritizing over him.

Is Buru not an option anymore?
I feel pretty safe translating this for you. He means "the last ship" after Buru. The one that Alex vacated.
If I'm wrong he can came back and correct me, but I'm 99% sure that's what he meant.

Ah ok, thanks jcru. I would be happy with Mahoney too. Seems like a long shot though.

I asked Iggy two night ago after he said we weren’t getting Pride if we were getting Buru and he answered “if I had to bet on it yes”. All that means is his trip went as good as it could have and they were very optimistic they were going to get him.
The rest of the assumption is my fault. Sorry about that.

All right I’ll spill one half of it, Ramfan22 mentioned him about a week ago with it being Tim Dalger Kenny followed him two weeks ago, but Tim has followed Kenny back in the past week.
I’ve heard other names from another source that I haven’t gotten trustworthy news from before but here’s to hoping, they would all be upgrades imho

Yeah, remember when his name was brought up a while ago, but didn't know if there has been any serious mutual interest.
