Virginia tech loses Buchanan but picks up Maki Long. Was going to say not an even trade but Long averaged 8.7 rebounds and 35% from threes . I know it was Old Dominion but I never thought of him as a strong rebounder and good shooter. Shows the growth of some players.

As Billyboy said sometimes it can be academics . Obbie Toppin redshirted because of academics . You don't think he was basketball ready as a frosh ?
I think Formena might have been a combination of things including health , academics and the time off from both school and practice . archie had
said Foumena was behind , and that could have been interpreted as meaning academically and basketball . It could be academics for Buchanan .

He wasn't academically ready as a frosh.
I just said if you are red shirting, there is a reason you aren't ready. I didn't necessary say it was because you couldn't play. That was just an example.

David Cox once recruited him and somehow people think there is a connection to URI. He didn't pick us 3 years ago, at least in the case of Abou Ousmane we had a commitment from him originally.
His new list includes GWU, GM, and PC, and then it is stated that if we don't somehow hip check all of them out of the way and win a "recruiting battle" that is at this point, completely non existent, then Archie isn't getting the job done, because he has to win those.
How is that any different than what Rhody Vault says and does?
