Tracey is #42.

Would Always Wright be in this same Top 100 Listing? It includes both Freshmen and Sophomores, correct?
Maybe just not in it because he is a Freshman and Brown and Naivalurua had 2 years to develop statistics?

And California apparently.4Diffs wrote: ↑1 year ago I do not follow this like I used to, and JCRU do not think I am being hypocritical here as it might sound like I am, but I was hoping for Pride, you guys got my hopes up there. Kortright's list out of high school was much better than this list. Let's hope he is underrecruited and turns out to be a good player. I think if Archie wants this kid I have to believe he will be good . If you are concerned about who else was recruiting Wright , tell me where was all the recruiting of Tyler koleck who is now a star at Marquette. We have to trust Archie. He has a proven track record of finding under valued recruiits
especially at Dayton.

Re: '22 PG/SG Always Wright (NEO A&M JC ---> URI)
So we should not question an Archie recruit ever for any reason?
I think some of the discussion revolves around trying to understand how good the guy is. Not about whether or not he should have been offered and signed.
Is he the starting PG from day 1?
No idea.
Let the battles for playing time minutes and starting line up positions begin

I think a good question is how close is the competition he played in JUCO to division 1.
He thoroughly dominated as a true freshman and his shooting and asisst numbers are ridiculous.
He looks incredibly skilled and plenty athletic in that highlight.

Joseph Eugene Wright (born April 1, 1963) is an American former professional basketball player. Wright holds the single season scoring record in the Úrvalsdeild karla when he averaged 46.6 points per game during the 1992–1993 season. In 1992 he set the single game scoring record in the Korisliiga when he scored 79 points. (en)

Obviously not a real fair comparison but NEO did play against Indian Hills one of the best juco teams and Hutchinson which has a strong reputation.PeterRamTime wrote: ↑1 year ago I think a good question is how close is the competition he played in JUCO to division 1.

Both those programs put out many Div.1 players.
Wright did perform well in both those games:
Against Hutch: 23 pts (8-13 FG)/ 6 assists
Against IH: 16 pts (7-15 FG) / 5 rebs.

From what I've seen from all of the videos , Wright has a very quick and smooth crossover dribble which should help him get his own shots. That
is something you can see regardless of the competion he was facing.

He really plays like Bray. Only bigger and more poised. More textbook looking of a shot and obviously doesn't force it too much since he shot 49%.Billyboy78 wrote: ↑1 year agoYes, defenses will be tougher, but he has a variety of shots and handles and passes well.theblueram wrote: ↑1 year agoagree but there was zero defense going on in that film. I know we have compared a lot of guys to Bray, but he really looks like him.
I think he needs to put on at least 10 pounds before the season.

Son of a player. Would imagine he brings high IQ and feel for the game. Would also imagine this is who Archie has pegged as our starting PG going into preseason. 40%+ from three and his size should translate to A10.
Also was reminded by a trusted source that Archie made his mark with 2 and 3 star kids.

I have not watched much of his game video’s but, we need 3 point shooters and he can shoot, so that’s a positive. Having a PG who is a threat from 3 will help us.

Director of Player Development Christen Cunningham was involved in the recruitment, it seems. He's a Kentucky native so may be driving some of the Midwest connections.

From Bill Koch article
Wright ran with Michael Porter Jr. Elite on the grassroots circuit last spring before enrolling at NEO. URI assistant coach Kenny Johnson served as his lead recruiter and director of player development Christen Cunningham was in steady contact. Rams head coach Archie Miller helped close Wright during his trip here.

Watching Alway's highlight video again. Not only can he finish with his left hand, but her can dunk with it in the open court as well. I usually don't pay much attention to dunks but I can't remember seeing any player using his off hand to dunk the ball in the open court. Maybe I'm an outlier. Has anyone else seen someone do this? It's impressive. The whole video is impressive.

Pretty sure Tckhiou did it this year.
Dunking in a wide open court with your opposite hand really doesn't prove much.
Remember people were acting like Mike Layssard was going to be all world because he dunked hard in warm ups?
