No problem. I’d give credit to the NCAA or Bust thread but my cut and paste ability is limited on my phone (or at least I am limited lol)

Re: Zek Montgomery SG/SF 6’6 Bradley —> URI placeholder
“The 6-foot-6, 210-pound wing broke out as a starter for a 25-10 Bradley team, seeing minutes as a guard when the Braves needed more length at the position.”
“He shot 43.4% from the field and 42.2% from 3-point range for a Bradley team that produced the third-best shooting from long distance in the Valley. He averaged 8.1 point per game and 3.4 rebounds and capped off his season with a place on the Valley Most Improved Team.”

Re: Zek Montgomery SG/SF 6’6 Bradley —> URI placeholder
I don’t know if he’ll actually be a starter in the starting lineup but he has the potential to be one at the very least get a ton of minutes on this team off the bench <— just qualifying my previous statement.
I think at worst you are looking at a 6th man.

Re: '21 SG Zek Montgomery (Bradley —> URI)
I believe all three transfers so far have 2 years of eligibility remaining. Seems Archie's philosophy has changed a little since last year, getting slightly 'older' players coming in this time.

Re: '21 SG Zek Montgomery (Bradley —> URI)
The other thing about Zek we need to remember is he is a Sophmore on the number one MVC team who has a very slow pace of play. They are typically extremely defensive oriented.
He broke his shooting wrist three games into the season. He then missed 6 games in the middle of Non-conference play. I think this kind of hurt him with gaining momentum into the season.
He managed to score 12 points against Wisconsin in the NIT with one of his worst 3 point shooting games of the year.

We got a guy that has played well against good comp and played for a very good team with a lot of mouths to feed. He also has the potential to get better. I like it !
I hope we are still in the mix for Pride. I’m still wondering who starts at point.

Can never have too much shooting in the modern game. Spacing has killed our offensive flow for 3-4 years now due to the personnel and overall lack of shooting prowess. I like it as a piece of the puzzle.

If we get Kortright, I wonder if that's who Archie sees as our starting PG. I hope not though...steveystuds06 wrote: ↑1 year ago We got a guy that has played well against good comp and played for a very good team with a lot of mouths to feed. He also has the potential to get better. I like it !

I think this is why Louis was asked to leave to get a guy with more experience and better shooting

Experience, good size, and skill. Very solid pick up. 6’6 wing can be a sweet spot. Think taller more athletic better shooting Malik Martin.

Re: '21 SG / SF Zek Montgomery (Bradley —> URI)
In addition to his shooting numbers, I definitely like that he started 25/29 games as a sophomore for a Bradley team that finished first in the MVC regular season going 25-10 (16-4).

Very solid pick up with multiple years left. Plays D and can shoot. Very nice!
More, please. A PG, too. Thanks, coach!

Re: '21 SG / SF Zek Montgomery (Bradley —> URI)
I like this addition; we got our shooting wing.
Now if we get a commitment from Pride, a solid PG, and another big (hopefully a Div 1 seasoned one), we will be in business.

If they can do those three things, this roster on paper will have improved quite a bit from last season.

Good signing. Happy about this one. PG and another big that can defend and rebound and we will be interesting.

Time will tell if he has the rebounding, defense and attitude of Malik . It is too early to tell if this is a positive compared to Malik.Rhodymob05 wrote: ↑1 year ago Experience, good size, and skill. Very solid pick up. 6’6 wing can be a sweet spot. Good pick up. Love to see shooters. I see this kid as the first guy off the bench. Would still put Westin ahead of him at this point as our 3rd guard (assuming we get a Pg).

Re: '21 SG / SF Zek Montgomery (Bradley —> URI)
Malik was just so dreadful offensively it's not going to be hard for him to eclipse the production Malik gave us. He won't have to be as great of a defender, he'll just have to be good at it. But his numbers as a true sophomore are very similar and more efficient than Malik's as a 5th year senior.McRam wrote: ↑1 year agoTime will tell if he has the rebounding, defense and attitude of Malik .
