Keaney Blue “Hall of Fame”
Is it time? Over the years, since the Projo hosting the message board, to now, we do have some significant history and contributions that maybe needs to be recognized? From compilers to the mods/founders, to legendary posters, to outstanding achievements (back to back achievements in Prediction Contest) etc etc. I have no clue as to eligibility criteria, nor on how to set something like this up. However, we sometimes “nominate postings for the year” in jest or not. Maybe this is just a concept not worth pursuing, or even in the dumb idea category. Not looking to organize this (beyond my knowledge grade) but just a thought from crazy person. As usual here, read(not) view, post, reply, and of course move onto the next game thread.

Rod Carri. Open and shut. OB. ATP. Iggy.
Wouldn’t mind if we did a get together end of year to fundraise for a cause or two, or this board’s operating fees, if not the Rhody Excellence fund.

Rod has to go in on the first ballot.
Anyone remember all the members of the Slow Break Club? I remember Neil, Ben and there were three or four others whom I can't name.

Yes, and along with that, does anyone know the “founder(s)” of the current board? I came on shortly after the transition from the Projo one. Also, if anyone wants to help further developing this concept, PM me. Keep mentioning people, this helps! Thanks.Rhode_Island_Red wrote: ↑1 year ago*blushes*

Re: Keaney Blue “Hall of Fame”
Thanks guys
I have been here since the projo days but nowhere near a HOF’er
Honestly I enjoy reading from this board and from those posters who are the real HOF’ers
REEF - I think it has literally been 2 decades since I met you in Vegas
Unreal
I still remember that night like it was yesterday
I believe that bar closed down on the strip - i think I read about that a few years back
That was a fun night that ended well LOL

Re: Keaney Blue “Hall of Fame”
I think the "Coach for Life" Jim Baron contract snuffed out a lot of enthusiasm the older posters had.
Red talks about the slow break club meetings. I'm guessing there was a lot of venting of frustration that took place off the board. Perhaps these guys didn't want to muddy the new board with their frustrations. An overabundance of negativity tends to make you the villain. And these guys were not villains, and certainly didn't want to be seen that way. Better to keep that amongst smaller circles.
Not Rod though. Nothing stopped Rod. He took CFL as a personal affront. I used to get a kick out of some of his posts where he would say "Baron is going to be coach for the rest of my life" He wasn't too far off, in the end.
