5 A10 Games Remain. 2 home and 3 away. Updated NET for each opponent.
February 10......URI NET = 69
3 of the 4 Toughest A10 games of the season coming up consecutively with UMASS home, St Joseph's and Fordham both on the road.
UMASS next Thursday night 6pm is a big one
207-VCU Away Feb 12 Sun 12pm
63-UMASS Home Feb 16 Thurs 6pm
93-St Joseph's Away Feb 19 Sun 2pm
88-Fordham Away Feb 22 Wed 7pm
221-Dayton Home Feb 25 Sat 1pm
Yep Ramster, I was thinking the same thing.
That will be a huge 3-game stretch for us.
To be honest 77, I can't even tell you which of the 3 I'm most concerned about. I'm actually concerned about all 3 evenly. Playing St Joseph's and Fordham on the road is going to be very difficult. We need to beat UMASS Thursday night to have confidence going on the road.
And for sure can't overlook VCU this Sunday. Road games are never easy.

Yes Ramster, we can't look past VCU even though they are struggling.
Their best player Te-Biasu (16 pts) has missed the last several games, not sure of her status.
Hopefully we get a good crowd for the UMass game, that should be as good as it gets.
Both Fordham and St. Joe's will be tough on the road.
Good opportunity to play play on national tv today. We were probably on in sports' bars everywhere. They just keep finding new ways to get it done. The UMASS game this week is so important on a number of levels. Hopefully, we continue to take care of business. Every game is a tournament game going forward.
Adler is sick. One of the assistant coaches was also.
F*ck Alacki, DarthFriar, DirtyBeanFriar94, xCoachK, Boxworth, Friar Faithful, bicycleicycle, Matt_Keough, Patrick Norton, the Rosato brothers, and especially Benjamin Lord !

Does anyone know the attendance record for a uri WBB game?
Have to think Umass on Thursday will draw a big crowd.
Tammi Reiss is a wagon!!
I've never been to a women's game but watched just about all games this year. I am definitely showing up for the Umass game. This team is so much fun to watch.

I'd say it was last years game when we hosted Dayton.
2,415
There might be a higher number in a record book but would likely be a combined doubleheader game with the MBB team
Thursday night could break the 2,415
There is a game with MBB vs VCU on Wednesday night but I don't think that will impact WBB by much at all.

4 A10 Games Remain. 2 home and 2 away. Updated NET for each opponent.
February 13 URI NET = 62
3 of the 4 Toughest A10 games of the season coming up consecutively with UMASS home, St Joseph's and Fordham both on the road.
UMASS Thursday 6pm is the biggest home game of the season
63-UMASS Home Feb 16 Thurs 6pm
91-St Joseph's Away Feb 19 Sun 2pm
88-Fordham Away Feb 22 Wed 7pm
223-Dayton Home Feb 25 Sat 1pm
For comparison with UMass:
UMass Net = 63
at 62 URI
vs 144 Davidson
at 162 Saint Louis
vs 146 George Washington
That really underscores how important this game is. If we win we virtually clinch the regular season championship. If we lose we could struggle to keep pace with them in the final three games of the year
Take down the Robert Carothers banner and fix the concession stand lines
But this URI team is special. This may be the greatest URI W BB team in the history of the program.
If you want to know how this team operates, look no further than Tammi Reiss. I sincerely doubt she's dithering about playing UMass. Biting her fingernails off at the thought of losing the next three.
She simply expects her team to win out. And they should win out. They have dominating suffocating defense and she gives them the focus points and monitors them in real time, makes adjustments, etc.
I'm more worried about who is going to come and try to offer Tammi the $$$ world after this season, than I am of this team taking care of business on Thurs.

Six Top 25 votes for Rhody this week.
This is great recognition for the program and the player efforts this season.
On the negative side, the NET ranking is 62. So if Rhody does not win the A-10 Tournament, there is a good chance they won't make the NCAA Tournament.
Check out our newest episode of Rhody Baseline where we chat with UMass PxP announcer Nathan Strauss about this thursdays game against UMass and with URI's and the A10's Paige Messier.
Biggest game of the year tomorrow as Rhody faces UMass at the RC.
UMass is 11-1 A10 and have won 10 straight, last loss was against us in Amherst.
They return 5 starters from last season along with their top 6 scorers.
URI moves to 13-0 in conference, UMass goes to 11-2. URI can do no worse than second place and clinches their first regular season title with any win or UMass loss in the final three games for each team
With a loss:
They're each 12-1, with URI having games against the two toughest teams either school plays following this game. Assuming women's basketball has the same tiebreakers as the men, you have this:
Two-Team Tie
1. Head-to-head competition.
2. Conference record of the tied teams based on winning percentage versus the highest
common opponent and proceeding down to the lowest common opponent, if necessary, until
one team gains an advantage.
a. All ties are broken in descending order.
b. When arriving at another pair of tied teams, use each team’s record against the tied teams
as a group. When comparing records against a group of teams, the higher winning
percentage will prevail. In case of tied percentages vs. the team or group of 1.000 or
.000, the following shall apply: 2-0 is better than 1-0; 0-1 is better than 0-2.
3. Coin toss.
