Re: Isaiah Coulter
Love the guy and I hope he gets a chance to play during the upcoming season. Can’t hurt to show potential recruits that this program can get players to the NFL.

Re: Isaiah Coulter
Aaron Parker didn't log a stat for the Chiefs though. So weird, if you watched the two while they were here Parker was so much more dominant. Coulter had more talent though and is getting more run now.

yup, kept waiting for #21 to enter the game for KC. I missed the last half of the 4th Q but didn't see any catches in box score.

I don’t think Parker was so much more dominant. Coulter was viewed more highly by NFL Scouts to the extent Voulter deciddd to leave school a year early.
Comparing Combine Results. Coulter vertical jump was much higher than Parker.

The huge game for Coulter was when URI played at P5 Virginia Tech in Blacksburg VA. Coulter really put on a show as he had a game high 9 receptions for 152yards. Parker had 5 receptions for 64 yards. Scouts may have been there to see the Senior Aaron Parker but it was the Junior, Isaiah Coulter, who stole the show against P5 Competition.
Coulter declared for the Draft after that season as a Junior.
Coulter was 1st URI player drafter since 1986 and tied for highest ever as a 5th rounder.
Parker was not drafted although some thought he might be.

Re: Isaiah Coulter
Yeah the scours saw more potential and the Virginia Tech game proved that. He's a very gifted athlete. Parker is too, just not as much of a freak and sometimes that's the difference between making a roster and getting cut.ramster wrote: ↑1 year agoParker was not better than Coulter on the field to NFL Scouts.PeterRamTime wrote: ↑1 year agoHe was better on the field here than Coulterramster wrote: ↑1 year ago

Still though, Parker was more dominate here his freshman through senior year. I mean he's second all time in receiving yards while only having one good QB (Lawson) and three out of thr four teams he played on being awful.
Parker is like a Rhody mount rushmore all time great player.
It happens all the time, some guys are better in college than other guys. Parker was just further ahead than Coulter early on.
It's just wild because watching Aaron Parker it was like okay THIS GUY out of all the ones I've seen play at Rhody is bound to make it in the NFL. Which he did, just not on a 53 man roster yet. Just shows you how incredible you have to be.
Still mad that we went 2-10 with them and Kyle Murphy

Re: Isaiah Coulter
Scouts and NFl teams don’t care about what you did in your previous years so much as what are you doing now. Coulter is even at an advantage over Parker because he was only a junior, Parker was a Senior. Yet in the biggest of games for URI - P5 AT Virginia Tech it was Coulter who Stole the show for BOTH teams as only a Junior. Parker did not stand out in that big P5 opportunity unfortunately.
Coulter is outperforming Parker in NFL 2022 Preseason games

Uhh yeah I know all that. I'm just saying when we were watching Aaron Parker play here you'd think out of everyone he'd get some playing time in the NFL because he was so dominate here.ramster wrote: ↑1 year ago Scouts and NFl teams don’t care about what you did in your previous years so much as what are you doing now. He did stand out plenty against FBS schools had 30 catches for 442 yards, 4 TD's total against VT, Ohio, Uconn, Central Michigan and Kansas. Maybe if he were a little faster he could stay on a roster.

Could he possibly play in New England on Monday night? I certainly hope so. Too bad the Bears QB has a tough time passing the ball to it's receivers.

Re: Isaiah Coulter
Yes he could. Here is Chicago Bears thread on activating Coulter.
Generally speaking they believe the Bears have a bad group of receivers, some say worst in the league. Most are glad Coulter is getting a chance since he performed so well preseason and the Bears have nothing to lose considering how bad the receivers have been this year.
