I can't even fathom how people have time to create a fake account to mess with fans.

IMO linking unknown twitter junk to this forum is extremely bad form….

Good to see a few additions here. Watched a lot of tape. Decent start but a lot of raw talent. I think expectations need to be realistic for the next couple seasons. Without major additions I don't see us coming even close to the dance for a few years. Who knows though maybe Archie and staff can get a few good ones.

I don't agree that we won't come close to the dance for a few years.
Although I doubt we'll dance this coming season, I can definitely see us at least contending for an NCAA berth in Archie's 2nd season here.
Not coming close for a few years would be a failure in my book.

Wouldn’t surprise me if Archie is closing recruits without our knowledge. He seems to be so stealth.. impressive that you can keep things hush hush this day in age.

Yup. Just pulled out my binoculars to see if I could spot any stealth movement out on the perimeter. I got nothin’. Over…

Re: General High School Recruiting Discussion/Comments 2022-23
There’s very little recruiting focus on juco’s across college bb, it appears. I just jumped on JucoRecruiting to quickly check what’s up. If the site is up to date, 8 of the top 20 rated players haven’t signed anywhere yet. The 8 includes 4 bigs.
There’s a few A10 signings: St Louis has one; St Joe’s has one; Duquesne too, iirc.
Juco’s can sometimes fill roster holes adequately. I wonder if we are sniffing around for one?

Not sure how recent your data is, but several of the top Juco bigs have recently committed.Jdrums#3 wrote: ↑2 years ago There’s very little recruiting focus on juco’s across college bb, it appears. Also remember that many of these Juco players may not have been cleared academically to transfer to Div.1 or eligible/qualified to play immediately .
Even with the portal, many staffs still identify the top talent in the Juco ranks during the recruitment process.

Nice pick up, 78.
A mini Shaq. Although, at 250 he may not be so mini.
His size leads me to think he could be a banger underneath. Could be a good piece. I’ll have to look him up.

Stats are, um, interesting? 2.4ppg, 2.0 rpg and 46% from ft line in his third year of juco basketball (at his third school). Chipola is a high level juco, led by a former D1 coach. They had a 6'10 guy going to K State. And Juco stats can certainly be disleading at times.
If Archie wants him, then I support it, just surprised by the production.

All appears quiet again on the recruiting trail. Is college bb on a regularly scheduled recruiting break? Or, has the Rhody coaching staff stealth submarine submerged again?
Going to have to pull out my binoculars to see if I can spot any movements on the horizon. I’ll take first watch, over.

Insiders have no clue the Rhody Stealth Train is on the track. Half the players getting pumped up around here probably aren’t even on this staff radar.
Like it should be!
Train just keeps on rollin!!!

Re: General High School Recruiting Discussion/Comments 2022-23
With only 2 scholly’s left and barring no other defections, I suspect this side of the KB board will be quiet. Bummer.
I figure also that if Archie is looking to fill one more scholly, then he will probably take his time.
Any guesses on a player or position? An experienced big? A wing scorer?
I wouldn’t mind an experienced big to help out our young bigs.
Does anyone foresee Archie leaving the last two scholly’s open for any reason?

I wouldn't mind a veteran big, possibly a grad transfer, to push the young guys.
We basically don't have any Div. 1 experience there.
Also, a shooter/sniper at wing/CG.
Again, since Archie gets a pass this season (no big expectations), I am okay with where we are at or whoever else he decides on bringing in.
83 keeps saying Archie is leaving at least 1 spot open, so who knows, I haven't heard that from him.

Jersey, you posted about grad transfer Haase the other day. He would be - or, someone close to similar to him - would be my first choice for the reasons you listed above.

Can see up pushing hard for Ant Harris for experience in the backcourt and I believe one poster said we’re currently the leader for him a couple days ago , but otherwise it’ll be quiet, and I know people want a Grad Transfer big, but we’ve seen Archie doesn’t want quick fixes (ex. A big with one year of eligibility ) so that’s my two cents

Yes, would be nice, not sure what our staff has in mind.
Last I heard Wisconsin, BYU, and a couple of others may be in the mix for Felipe Haase.
