13-6 at the under 12 timeout. Weathered the early storm a little there and have a chance to stay in the game now. Aaman playing hard once again...really like this kid so far. Nothing pretty, but gets the job done.

Not mad at the defense but wow brick city on the offense.
Uniforms are ok but they look awful with mismatched blue underneath.
If anyone has figured out how to get espn3 to work on their smart tv let me know, watching on computer now, got stuck on an "upgrade flash" notice on the tv. Like you would see on an iPad.

Watching ESPN3 right now online with Cox. ESPN3 as many others have already stated is exclusively an online only feed.ramfan03 wrote:No watching on ESPN 3 for us cox suckers

And already we see the difference between last year and this year. Last year we would have given up and been down 20. This year we fight and are down 4.

Re: Game #2: Virginia Tech - In-Game
Go from being down 4 to being down 12 in the span of a minute. Brutal. Defense needs to adjust in second half, have to stop collapsing on the interior. Everytime we do they kick it out and hit a three.

Ugh, this is going to be a tough season. I think Biruta and Matthews are going to make a huuuuuuge difference next year though.
I like what I see in terms of ball movement and defense for the most part. The talent just isn't there.

We seem to dig ourselves the early big hole, is the Rhody "A" game this year more of the same but making a few more shots?? I know the sked is set well in advance, but maybe this team(and next years?)could benfit from some cupcakes in the early pre-conference sked??

This offense is hard to watch. At least I'm doing well on the trivia.

Munford is starting to live up to his potential. The open 3's on defense are starting to get old. We saw enough of that last year.

Re: Game #2: Virginia Tech - In-Game
Biggest disappointment so far is Hare, that sequence a few mins ago is typical, pass to him and he's not ready, ball bounces off hands, they get it back to him again and he misses the shot and instead of going hard on the rebound he drops his shoulders sulking. Coach seems to put him in for a min, sees that he isn't into the flow and isn't working hard and pulls him.

Aaman has altered a lot of shots and is always in the hunt for the rebound, I'm really impressed, better than D3 in my book.

Re: Game #2: Virginia Tech - In-Game
Really beginning to look like the holdovers from the Baron error just weren't that good, except Nik and TJ at times. That might even include Hare, although the jury's still out on him, seeing that it's only his 2nd game. He's got to work harder though, or he'll be sitting way more than he plays.
The one thing that we can hang our hat on this year, though, is that they won't give up [Hurley won't let them] and they should improve as time goes on.
But, NO inside game at all. Ouch.

No complaints from me on Aaman. He hustles, runs the floor, has great position on D, and rebounds. You can't ask for more in a freshman.

Hare has LOTS to prove. Amazing how so many believed the hype and that got him on a all-rookie team, or top 30 impact freshman. So funny now that we have seen him play.

Lets not compare last years team. I would rather watch these guys struggle than last years embrassment. Talking about AAMens athletic ability
