It is surprising because Arkansas already has size, talent, and youth in the frontcourt.

Good luck to Betrand, he has received 4 years of college education in exchange for being a good athlete. Hopefully he took his studies seriously. He should understand better than most that an injury can end his playing days in an instant. Hopefully he can be a somewhat decent player again but do not expect to see him compensated to play ball after his NCAA days are over. He should find an area of grad study (assuming he has graduated) that can lead to career success.

Is there any hope/desire to get any of Betrand/Berry/Ayo-Faleye back next season? Obviously didn't see much of them during their respective careers here, and I haven't heard much news about any of them since they each hit the portal

Personally I wouldn't mind if they got either/both of the redshirts back. Feel like their size/length could really thrive under Archies play style. Tres especially at 6'3 with and 6"10 wingspan- need to see that in action

This is probably my bad. I approved the post, which isn’t necessarily like an endorsement of it, it just didn’t set off any alarm bells for me because there wasn’t anything facially offensive in it. Miller mentions six players by name he's spoken with about remaining at #URI -- Malik Martin, Ishmael Leggett, Jalen Carey, Sebastian Thomas, Ileri Ayo-Faleye and Abdou Samb.

Reads to me like he talked to these 6.
Doesn’t seem to correlate to them for sure staying.

Will be interesting to see what happens as 7-8 players are added and who gets added.

Well not NBA but you know what I mean, you bring a player in to get an idea of what his skills look like both in a one on one setting and in a team concept. Miller gets a chance to look at him in a practice setting and based on what he sees he can make a decision on whether he believes he can help him. That would explain why his name was still in the portal and yet he was practicing. I will tell you he definitely looks the part.

I’m not sure why he would come back. Over the next few years the best case scenario is that he gets 10-12 minutes a game. He should play at a lower division 1. Archie will bring in many guys that will be ahead of him on the depth chart.

Most of these players in the transfer portal that post video of workouts are still doing it at the schools they're transferring from. Kind of like how you'll often see graduated players working out at their old schools, or just local players back home from the summer working out at a local school, it wouldn't surprise me if there's a kind of unspoken "professional courtesy" with all of this.

Just for the record, I approved this post. Given the thread over at the Arkansas board, I guess maybe the Mitchells are a target over there, or at least they've had a discussion with that coaching staff. Who knows? Their thread on the Arkansas board seems to be posted two or three hours earlier than the first post over here, so it doesn't seem like they're just reacting to these posts over here.

They have Jaylin Williams (6'10") starting in the middle averaging 11 pts/ 10 rebs.
Another 6'10" freshman back up.
Plus 6'9" Brazile transferring from Missouri.
Although, they are losing 7 footer Vanover, bench player, to the portal.
Plus several top ranked forwards in the recruiting class.

Not sure how much of a role the Mitchells would have, doesn't make sense.
