I heard Bill Koch talking about this on the Projo Pick and Pop Podcast. If you get a top 100 (maybe higher?) recruit like Carey to transfer to a lower conference / rebuilding program like we have here... You do so by promising playing time. If a player like this transfers and ends up sitting on the bench, what does that tell future recruits that might consider transferring here? Basically guarantees you won't get another like him. Cox is kind of stuck doing all he can to help the kid live up to the hype or at least his potential if he wants to be in the running for future valuable transfers.
I'm with Gorhody89 and not giving up on him. I am an eternal optimist however at least when it comes to Rhody hoops.
