What a shame PC and URI could not keep their game. Ed Cooley, Bob Driscoll, Thorr Bjorn and David Cox collectively couldn't make if work. Reasons arise, it was a shame. Other schools made their rivalry games work. Two Schools in the State of Rhode Island couldn't. Sad.

Please don’t bothsides this. The blame lies squarely with the chickenshit mental hospital.

Yeah there is no “collective” here. Ed Cooley did not want to play the game. Period. URI offered up any and all possibilities to make the game work. Neutral site or otherwise.
Ed Cooley is a pussy. Bob Driscoll is a pussy. End of story.
The Friars ducked their biggest rival. From the looks of things in this Covid era, they are the only school to have cancelled a rivalry game.
This is on PC. They are pussies. Period.
If you say you’re a Rhody fan, I know you are my brother. For you have suffered as I have suffered.

Bill Koch, Kevin McNamara, local TV Sportscasters, Thorr, Cox and others all could have asked questions and spoken up. They chose not to. Just leads to lots of speculation.
I know what happened but even posters here want me to provide proof.
By not speaking up and asking questions we let Cooley have his way standing behind his stupid “doing what’s best for PC”.
It was a stupid, selfish decision by Cooley - period. And as usual nobody stands up to his selfish BS.

Cox and Thorr had no choice but to stay silent on it. They pushed us into a corner with the “Covid” excuse.
Look at the Covid thread on the board. It’s too divisive a topic and you’d get crucified if you tried to say they were lying about it.

Does Dayton have a really shallow lineup or what? I know they lost Cohill for the year (major piece), but they roll with an 8 man rotation which includes a walk on. Doesn’t seem sustainable.

They need to get Scoochie back! Too bad he has no more eligibility after playing there for six years.
It certainly seemed like he was there for six years.
Technically SMU #56 and Dayton #58 in the KenPom rankings, so not a bad loss by definition, but crushing for sure. Crutcher not looking like a first-team player in that game.
Friars keeping it close against Fairleigh Dickinson. The Friar faithful are hoping they can take this big game at Alumni Hall. Battle of the idiots for sure.

Thats why its a bad loss. Opportunuty squandered. Need our top teams to take care of business.

It's ok,
they have Scoothie's Brother coming in for next year.
One game in a-10 today, La Salle at Army, 4 PM. On ESPN+.
In OOC games:
Miss Valley at Western Kentucky, 3 PM. On ESPN+.
Seton Hall at Penn State, 8 PM. On BTN.
Anothere noteworthy item in Saturday action was Iona's 82-74 win at Hofstra, a team picked to win the CAA. Iona is still without two players; a point guard and their 7'1" freshman center. Always interesting to watch a Pitino coached team.
This year I root for only 2 big east teams....Seton Hall and Gtown. I pull against all others
F*ck Alacki, DarthFriar, DirtyBeanFriar94, xCoachK, Boxworth, Friar Faithful, bicycleicycle, Matt_Keough, Patrick Norton, the Rosato brothers, and especially Benjamin Lord !

Toppin got 10 min. PT, scored 2 points on 1-1 shooting and got one rebound.
I guess he's ready for the nba now. KENTUCKY. LOL.
In his defense, he was supposed to redshirt this year and not contribute at all.
We're starting to sound like jealous ex's with every Kentucky/Toppin update.
I root for Toppin and Martin to do well.
The naysayers never would have thought Toppin would be in the Kentucky rotation next year, never mind this year.
Calapari likes Toppin.
I root for GTown because I don't want them to fire their coach..........

Good point...perhaps we should also be Maryland fans as well.
Turgeon isn't even close to getting fired.
I'm sure he's not...but he was on the hot seat a few years ago, and these days it doesn't take long (a subpar season or two) to have an AD make a change (or a change in AD that wants his own guy).
Bleed Keaney Blue!
”I'm not coming there to be in the top 3 of the Atlantic 10. I'm coming to win the damn thing!”

Can’t root for Martin since he became a Leg-humper.
