I get pissed when some say the 1998 team choked.
They were exhausted. Wheeler was short on his shots late, especially the 3 free throws.
That plus the refs were wearing Stanford jerseys in the last minute.
The problem is, folks at home saw it coming, and were actually saying "oh, man, here comes the choke" "I can't watch" right before it happened and as it was in the process of happening.
It's like when a few years later, URI Football was playing Maine at home to go to the playoffs, and they choked the entire second half, and UMaine ended up in a tie (8-3 record, with the tie breaker) with them took their playoff spot.
Except instead of happening over an entire half, it happened over 60 seconds to end the game.
can we move the coaching comments and now the Stanford game to a The Coaching Staff or something like it so we can stop giving heart attachks to all of us that see another Jermaine comment is posted?

YES. Always rooted for this guy. PLAY BIG WE DO.
Do you agree that (if he can play) Makhi Mitchell will push Harris to play better? Kind of like what happened when Antwan came?
Absolutely, even more so then Walker who isn’t the same size or position at Jermaine. They’ll learn and compete against each other in practice which should reflect positively vs bigger teams.

Yep I agree!! People forget that Harris was twice named as a high school All-American and was the all met player of the year as a senior. Those are huge accomplishments.

It's because of his accomplishments that many on here expected him to produce better results his first two years. I'm hoping he makes a big jump next year. Seems like a great kid and hard worker.

Jermaine Harris was not an All American.
Last AA we had, if I’m not mistaken, was Luther Clay by way of Purdue?

......I will be watching.......yes, to see Jermaine hopefully come into his own, with very different cast of talent, will be interesting to see how these pieces fit together......expecting he will reduce the foul gathering tendency we have seen in the past, with major minutes......staying positive here......
Yeah I truly try and not look into the IG stuff from the players too much. And I know some are going to refuse to accept that IG videos mean anything but this one just gives me a bad feeling. We will see when the team takes the court.

People may forget he played well against Dayton and UMass at the end of the year. Cox has also said he will be the biggest surprise this year.

You may actually be right.
I would like to be wrong to be honest hahah. Rather he be out there then not lol. But thankfully we have much more depth this year then previous ones.
The interaction with him and daniel anthony on the video caught my eye seemed to be limping and thought I heard him say something about tough time walking. Hoping it is a rolled ankle and he will me back in the very near future.

You would think that if it was anything serious, it would of been brought up with Andy Katz's chat with Cox after practice last night. Also no mention of an injury in John and Gary's podcast yesterday.

If Harris is unable to play due to injury, I'd like to think that info would be out there by now.
I don’t think so. It will be mentioned prior to the game.
Cox has always leaned towards be cautious with injuries (and I agree with him).
I can’t remember a situation where a player missed the practice the day before the game and ended up playing.
Harris has been that player several times over his first two years. They aren’t going to take the risk of it getting worse and having him miss more of the season.
