You could post that every year for the past two decades. What’s new with Fordham? I couldn’t find anything on Twitter.

Re: Fordham Basketball news
Well, BAR asked why there was a UMass specific thread and wonders why we also don't have a Duquesne thread. Is Ramulous granting the wish only with a different team or is there (yet another) dumpster fire at Fordham?

It was an homage to BAR......just didn't want to totally steal his idea....

As I said in the UMass thread, "well played Ramulous, well played."

Re: Fordham Basketball news
This was a sage thread by Ramulous...apparently Fordham making some major athletic announcements shortly. BBall coaches and AD apparently in play.

Re: Fordham Basketball news
Fordham will announce major changes within its athletic department this afternoon, multiple sources said.
Changes are expected at both the athletic director and men's basketball coach positions.

Re: Fordham Basketball news
And we'll be back here again in 4 years when they are still terrible at Men's hoops with several bottom half finishes. They never should have been added.

Re: Fordham
Very excited for the new regime at Fordham, maybe they will now go 9-21 as opposed to 7-23!

Like them sucking is really Neubauers fault. I think they played respectable under him, given that he has no support.

Re: Fordham Basketball news
If Fordham makes the coaching change as is now expected, look for Bryant's Grasso to get strong consideration. It is a tough time to hire now as people cannot easily travel. Grasso and Fordham already know one another as he was an assistant there for several years and was even interim head coach for a short while.

Re: Fordham Basketball news
There is only so much that Fordham can do, regarding the men's BB program.
They do spend money, pretty close to what we do. School has plenty of money.
Many of their other programs actually have success.
But when it comes to basketball, that hole they call Rose Hill Gym is the problem.
Until they build a new facility, they will never have sustained success.
They occasionally find a good player or two, but can't keep them from transferring. That freshman center? How long will he stay? Maybe he will because he lives close by, but he would be the exception to the rule.
If we think we have trouble recruiting players, it pales in comparison to them.

Re: Fordham Basketball news
I think that if the A10 were to lose members for whatever reason, they wouldn't replace them.
Say they boot Fordham....LaSalle finally decides to downsize....and UMass leaves due to football.
There's your 11 team conference and a perfect fit for a 20 game league schedule.
I know, I know, not happening but a thought.

Re: Fordham Basketball news
If the A10 was 11 teams, then the conference tourney would set up like this:
Teams ranked 1-5 get a 1st round bye, and the bottom 6 play each other, leaving 8 teams for the 2nd round.

Re: Fordham Basketball news
Iona and Fordham will play a 4 game series beginning this November 16. The first game will be played at Rose Hill Gym
Iona and Fordham stopped playing one another back in 2006-2007. They have not played in 14 seasons.
Good move by both teams.

Re: Fordham Basketball news
There's some more losses for Fordham lol.
Slicky's no dummy though.
He'll focus on winning his conference just like Cluess did.
Only way he'll dance. Only they might get good enough to actually win a game or two in it.

He's already in a better position at Bryant. Fordham is a step down

Amazing we have 30+ posts on a Fordham basketball thread. Is there a sport that Fordham sucks worse at than basketball? (And I am not one of those that wants to see them booted)

Fordham needs to step down to appropriate conference before worrying about a new coach.
