Butler is not the 6th best team in the country. Wouldn’t shock me if PC beat them to go to 4-0.

Re: Week #10 - Games of Interest
PC scores 18 points in the first half. Down 30-18. They are shooting 20% FG and 2-13 from three. Looks like URI vs Richmond.
Butler has 9 turnovers (avg 11 per game) and PC has 7 offensive rebounds (seemed like more). PC has taken 9 more shots.

Re: Week #10 - Games of Interest
Butler a much better passing team than PC
The Fryuzz senior citizen crowd was extra sleepy with the 9pm start time
Very strange to have 3 starters go without a Field Goal:
Holt (0-3)
Young (0-3)
Pipkins (0-4)
They had a combined 1 point from a Young FT
Add to them
Gantt (0-2)
Reeves (1-7)
That’s a combined (1-19) from 5 key players.

Fryuzzz have a had this concept where all their fans are supposed to stand in the game until they make their first basket
Loved it tonight as the Fryuzzz missed their first 13 shots in the game until White finally made a basket at the 13:27 mark.
Lots of tired legs in the crowd tonight.

Did you hear the Cooley presser? Everyone was “tired” that’s why they lost....tired from playing too many games. Holy crap, it Conference time...maybe they need a little nappy before the game.

Re: Week #10 - Games of Interest
They lost because too many of their players didn't show up....just like when we lose. And Butler is just better.
That excuse is total bullshit.
They played better in the 2nd half.....doesn't support Cooley's "theory".

Cooley blaming arriving home at 2am Tuesday night following the 7pm Marquette game, his players had all day Wednesday, Thursday and til Friday at 9pm. No classes to attend, school is out. Geez what a tough life.
Rest of Big East schedule is games on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Same number of days between games. Weak excuse. Surprised to hear a HC blame this, even coming from Cooley. I like Coaches who don’t look for excuses, just take the loss.
“Quite frankly my team was flat and we looked extremely tired,” Cooley said. “I thought we looked tired for 40 minutes. That wasn’t the team I was accustomed to seeing over the last three weeks. I don’t know if that’s something that came from Butler being off for a week and we were on the road for five days and came home at two o’clock in the morning and then had to play 48 hours later. That’s tough to bounce back from.”
“When you’re in this league and you’re able to rest,” Cooley said, “most of the time you’re going to have an opportunity to have success. I don’t think my team had an opportunity to get enough rest to play against a high-caliber team like that.”

Dayton putting on a clinic vs UMass. Granted it’s UMass, but Daytons offense is efficient. Going to be tough to beat in the A10.

In the AP poll, Dayton moves up to the #15 spot, Maryland is now #12 and West Virginia at #17, moves down only one spot with the loss at Kansas. In the others category, VCU gets 5 votes.
In the USA Today/Coaches poll, Dayton moves up to #15 position, with Maryland holding down the #14 slot, and West Virginia keeping #17. In the others category, LSU gets 2 votes. Gonzaga remains the #1 team in both polls.
The cumulative record of URI OOC opponents is 94-70, 0.573, a uptick from the previous week.
With the losses to Brown and Richmond, all the URI metrics declined from last Monday's.

If Alabama can win against Auburn on there home court this Wednesday. That win is going start looking alot better. I think they do beat Auburn too. Nate oats has them playing very well, they could beat anyone especially at home.

Richmond goes down in flames to St. Louis at home.
2nd to 4th place in this conference is up for grabs.
Maybe VCU isn't such a lock for 2nd as was previously thought.
A lot of teams are going to take turns beating each other...except Dayton who I predict will go 16-2.
One of those losses needs to be to us.

Re: Week #10 - Games of Interest
I watched the end of that game between St. Joes and Davidson.
The Wildcats tried so hard to give that game away, St. Joes had several chances to win it in regulation but kept rushing their shots.
That 3 to tie it at the end was ridiculous.
Davidson has virtually no chance for a wild card.

It mainly has to do with the Blake Francis being out, the game being on he road, and the loss Richmond just had prior to this game coupled with limited in conference game data. Under in that game seems likely especially without francis

7 Straight Wins since Obadiah Statement. Love the part “where many have questioned why bother” with the weekly Games of Interest.
