I’m not going to jump on the “we can’t shoot 3s wagon” just yet.
I’d like to see us settle down. However, I’m loving the offensive rotation.

Halftime adjustments hopefully lead to blowout. Seems like it should.
Mobley was fouled.

Re: 11/5 | Long Island University | 7:00PM (ESPN+)
It's silly to draw any conclusions about something like that based on 20 minutes. We will likely shoot about 750 threes this season, and we've shot 16. By any measure, 2% is not a big enough of a sample. Plus, we hit 5/16, which is not great. But 6/16 would have been 38%, and if we did that over the year nobody would complain. So essentially we're complaining about one make/miss - that seems a bit premature to me.wpbrown8267 wrote: ↑4 years agoCan’t say that...5/16 31% at the half

I was kidding, maybe I should have added more context to it. I agree sample size is way too small and by no means are making comparisons this earlyTruePoint wrote: ↑4 years agoIt's silly to draw any conclusions about something like that based on 20 minutes. Re: 11/5 | Long Island University | 7:00PM (ESPN+)
I guess it is hard to argue that he hasn't done much so far and his season is off to a bit of a disappointing start tonight. But the thing I try to keep in mind is that he is the clear 5th option of the starting lineup and will also be in a lot of the sub lineups he is in. I'm not going to judge him on the scoring output. I also try not to take his recruiting ranking into account, because that is irrelevant now. The fouls are frustrating, in part because they seem to often be ticky-tack stuff, but if it happens every game it is hard to keep blaming the refs. Still, his size and athleticism are badly needed and even if he doesn't seem to be impacting the game with sensational plays or stuffing the box score, he's still super valuable.section(105) wrote: ↑4 years ago ........a Harris, I will say now, is gonna be a swing and miss......beat up on me,to early as soph to make this statement, but......Give me piece of humble pie later......goes down with coffee milk.....

Re: 11/5 | Long Island University | 7:00PM (ESPN+)
I don't quite get the issue. VCU is playing a very similar game against a very similar opponent. This is fine - although when I started typing this they hadn't given up 7 straight points, although they have a lot of young guys on the floor getting some needed experience. Would be good to finish this last 8 minutes strong.DC_Rams wrote: ↑4 years agoI don’t think that’s fair. He’s giving the frosh minutes. He’s going to need them to be comfortable against UMD.

Comparatively speaking, this is just the first game. Davidson went life and death with a D2 school, VCU isn’t exactly blowing away St Francis....have to get these games out of their system.

1-0. Nice to get one in the books. This game went kind of the way most first games of the season tend to go. Shit gets real on Saturday!
