Re: Where Are They Now? Former Player Results and News
Weird, when I first posted the link only the first week was showing up. That's great news that both teams will be in Providence instead of Brooklyn and they're not playing each other. Will definitely have to make it out for those games

Ryan Gomes will also be making a homecoming, along with a fellow New England alum Craig Smith out of BC. Seems like they scheduled these guys in Providence on purpose, should be a good day.

Xavier proved he deserved a spot in the league. Had a nice little run with Memphis a few years back, along playing significant minutes in the playoffs that year against SA.

Without looking it up, and off the top of my head, I think Munford and Terrell missed each other by a year. Matthews and Munford played together.
But, it's Friday night, I could be wrong.

Munford and Terrell definitely didn’t play on the same team at URI.reckless jake wrote: ↑5 years ago Without looking it up, and off the top of my head, I think Munford and Terrell missed each other by a year. Matthews and Munford played together.

I assume Terrell has to be resigned or did he have a multi year deal?

He had like 4 alley oops in the game against BC around Christmas one year. They couldn't stop the OO alley oop.

He could’ve/should’ve had a better career at Rhody. By his senior year he could step out to 20 feet and hit with consistency, was legit 6’9”/6’10”. Unfortunately played on some bad teams and with a coach who definitely didn’t get his max out of him.

He basically carried that team his senior year.
Probably shot too many threes, but he would hit them more often than Holton at least....

I don’t know anything about the T Wolves second round pick Jaylen Nowell because I did not see one Washington game last year, but he’s a shooting guard and apparently was the PAC 12 player of the year. That can’t be great for Jared either.

This also doesn't bode well for JT. Teams only have two two-way slots they can offer.

Surprised Hass wont be signing on with a summer league team after impressing so many people last year.

There isn’t any money in that and he would risk injury.PeterRamTime wrote: ↑5 years ago Surprised Hass wont be signing on with a summer league team after impressing so many people last year.

Re: Where Are They Now? Former Player Results and News
Yeah. Minimum salary in the NBA is around $385,000, or around $77,000 for G-League players. Most prominent college players are going to be more toward the NBA minimum than the G-League if they play overseas.Rhody83 wrote: ↑5 years agoThere isn’t any money in that and he would risk injury.PeterRamTime wrote: ↑5 years ago Surprised Hass wont be signing on with a summer league team after impressing so many people last year.

Well he was close to getting on the celtics training camp roster last year, so I was expecting him to come back and give it another shot after another year honing his craft in Europe.Rhody83 wrote: ↑5 years agoThere isn’t any money in that and he would risk injury.PeterRamTime wrote: ↑5 years ago Surprised Hass wont be signing on with a summer league team after impressing so many people last year.

Yeah and I know all this. But I feel like someone like Hass would still rather play in the NBA than overseas. Low salary or not, there's a lot of potential value in getting your foot in the door.

Re: Where Are They Now? Former Player Results and News
Really. The original post was “Surprised Hass wont be signing on with a summer league team after impressing so many people last year.” My response was to Summer League and NOT making an NBA Roster. How many non-roster, non-drafted players make an NBA roster? Especially two years after graduating college. Let’s add on he is a 6’7” PF. There are approximately 300 players in the Summer League. The pay for Summer League is $1,500 in total. You were wrong about G League pay. G League players get paid $7,000/month for 5 months if they last the entire season. I believe Hassan made $160,000+ last year and the league he signed with this week is at a higher level (should be more money).SGreenwell wrote: ↑5 years agoYeah. Re: Where Are They Now? Former Player Results and News
Spoke to a former asst coach about playing overseas and he said there is a ton of $$$ to be made out there if you embrace where you play and not focus on getting to ”the league”. He felt many of the guys on a g-league bench could be doing much better financially if they explore options out of the country.

Of course they could. They make $35,000/year playing in the G League.
