I'll take it, and the staff can work everything out later.bigappleram wrote: ↑5 years ago It's less about the minutes distribution for me, as I agree there will be minutes to be had (Omar's, less minutes from Fatts/CT). It's moreso blending their 3 styles of play, all of which are very similar in that they are ball reliant. But perhaps all 3 wont be on the court at same time all that often and this is less of an issue. I do really like this pick up for the year after this one when Jeff leaves and we will be in desperate need of established ball handlers and scorers.
There are two teams in the Sweet 16 (Houston & Tenn) that start two ballhandling combo guards.
I would expect two of them (Jeff, Fatts, Sheppard) on the floor together most of the game (if not the entire game).
I think all three of them will be on the floor for very few minutes if any.
Hammond could see some time at SG depending on how he adjust.
We have Martin, Thompson and some of Tate’s time at the SF. With the Fr Long & Mading coming in.
We have Cyril, Harris, Walker & some of Tate’s time at the PF & C positions.
I don’t think Cox wants to have to rely on contributions from any of the Fr. This is a year to get in the Tournamrnt.
If any of the Fr step up, they will compete for playing time. Other than Jeff and Cyril, the playing time for everyone else could be reduced if other players at their position outperform them. I think Mading, Long & Hammond will be brought along slowly unless the some of the Soph & Jr struggle.
