Not a question mark, work in progress. 4 of them are Freshmen and 1 hasn’t played a game in a year and a half. Be patient grasshopper. Going to be an up and down season at times.

Re: 2018-2019 Rotation
Nope. Tate or Thompson. I still think Martin will have a really good season, but I like the way the other two represent themselves and the program better right now. They get it, and I think Tate, even as a freshman, has a chance to be a great leader for this group. Happy Opening Day! Vote and watch basketball!
(I’m sure you’re all on the edge of your seats over this )

Re: 2018-2019 Rotation
Based on Cox interviews since the Pace (especially the coach’s show) I think the playing time will be more like:
Jeff 35 mins
Fatts 35 mins
Cyril 32 mins (fouls are the key here)
Martin 22
Thompson 21
Tate 20
Harris 20
Omar 10 mins
Preston 5 mins
I don’t think Harris will get 20 mins the first month of the season but will increase to 20 mins by the Hawaii tournament.

I think Tate will get the start with Harris off the bench

thinking Preston only gets minutes when there is severe foul trouble. Omar- really interested to see if he has the foot speed to play significant minutes.

I think Omar sees more minutes because they’ll need his shooting from the perimeter.

Re: 2018-2019 Rotation
RIght now that's a deep bench but its a work in progress as it is for most teams. I think Cox will stick more to the 8-9 man rotation again for COC. The big 3=Thompson will get heavy minutes versus tougher teams but the Freshman looked much better.

I like that it appears that Preston gives us the option of going 9 deep.

Of the freshmen...Harris should be able to board with anyone, but Martin looked the most overall ready to play. jmo

Re: 2018-2019 Rotation
Preston’s play was surprisingly good. Let’s see
How he does against better competition.
He could be a big help. The Greek doesn’t
Look like he belongs at this level. Not even remotely!

I liked what I saw if Tertsea. Looks like working individually with Coach Sutton(?) seems to be helping. Remember he’s just a redshirt sophomore and has three years ahead of him. He’s also 6 feet 10+ and in great shape. Even if he can just help a little that will be huge.

Re: 2018-2019 Rotation
Preston will be huge as there are going to be games where either Cyril or JH get into early foul trouble so Ryan will need to give us productive minutes

Re: 2018-2019 Rotation
Preston could be an X factor, if last night can be replicated against good teams.
Tate is gonna be a player, I liken him to Andre Samuel. Undersized 3-4 hybrid, crafty and highly skilled, couple times he tried to finish with his left last night and just looks like a high IQ kid once the game slows down for him.

He is the 10th guy out of 10 real scholarship players (not counting Will or the Greek) in his 3rd year in the program.KevanBoyles wrote: ↑5 years ago I liked what I saw if Tertsea. That will just get worse next year with the incoming Fr and only Preston graduating.

Re: 2018-2019 Rotation
I don't see him getting any meaningful minutes at all
