Why he’s on the rise? Bishop was one of the toughest off-the-dribble scorers that we saw all spring and he also has to be respected as a jump shooter. With 6-foot-4 size, he can play as either a point or shooting guard and he’s equally versatile on both the offensive and defensive ends of the floor. He’s been a bit undervalued.

Who is involved? Providence, Kansas State, Cincinnati, Rutgers, Penn State, La Salle, Rhode Island, St. Joseph’s and VCU are among those heavily involved.

Bishop has been invited to the NBPA Top 100 Camp at UVA June 12-17 so his visit to Kingston will be later in the month.

He is posting this the day he is traveling to the NBPA Top 100 Camp in Virginia. Great that he is thinking about Rhody. He hasn’t posted a pic in any other school’s uniform.

This would be a massive get for DC. Very encouraged to see how well we are positioned with a recruit who obviously could play above A10 level. Key is bringing some Big East/P5 recruits to Kingston, Dan was able to do that.

At Rivals.com, we've advocated for tough Philly shooting guard Dahmir Bishop to be recruited by more high level programs. I'm not going to back off of that after his first session at NBPA Top 100.

Bishop was lights out from all over the place with his jumper scoring 23 quick points on a pretty efficient 9-15 shooting. He also gives it to you defensively and appears to be a guy that others enjoy playing with.

Providence and Cincinnati have turned up the heat, VCU, Temple, Kansas State and Seton Hall have been in there for a bit and others are making an impression. If he plays in July like he did in April and to start off camp this week, even more offers will fly in.

Worried that Pitt, UConn, Ohio St, St John's, and Cuse may join in. Maybe not UConn because I'm not sure Hurley would want to battle with Cox/URI right after leaving, but it's highly likely one of those join it at least. He could be Cox's EC.

Last night on Instagram Live FATTS was telling all the rhody fans to show dahmir some love. He also asked him if he is still coming this weekend I did not see a response from Dahmir. Yeah him and fatts seem to have a great relationship and always seems present in the viewing of Fatts live videos.

James Bouknight, Akok Akok, Max Lorca-Lloyd, Tre Mitchell, Kofi Cockburn, Ace Baldwin, Kareem Reid, Terrance Clarke.......just a few of the names Hurley is recruiting. Names sound familiar? He doesn't care that we're also recruiting them.....nor should he.

Dahmir just returned to Philly today from the NBA Top 100 Camp in Virginia.
I woukd expect him to visit Kingston next weekend.

It was a verbal not a signing. The early signing period starts in November.

I think it is too early for a verbal though. He has exploded this summer. Just came off an impressive showing at the NBPA Top 100 Camp. Just cracked the ESPN Top 100 this week. His only other unofficial visit so far is VCU (in Feb). His top offers are from Rhody, Wake, Cincy, PC, VCU, Seton Hall, K State & Rutgers.
