If Duke brings their "A" game, no one can beat them. The good news is that they've had a number of games when they haven't, and they've backed down when teams with good guard play go right at them (see UNC and even BC).

Could it end up helpful the pounding we took on senior nite and all the subsequent zone D we saw from that point forward.
Coach K interview the other night he indicated he is reliant on zone due to relative youth and inexperience of many of his players to grasp complex man defense.
Thanks to Martelli it’s gonna look awful familiar.
Can we shoot the ball with no conscience 2 games in a row?
Why not?
Duke is the game I want time for some revenge for sins of the past!
Who’s got the clips of Jimmy Baron shooting from the locker room in Cameron? Let’s make shots!!
Go Rhody.
We're gonna run the picket fence at "em.....now boys don't get caught watchin' the paint dry!

Our seniors playing like seniors and their freshmen playing like freshmen. If Duke plays to their best and we play to our best then there is no way we win, have to hope our experience helps us out.
I think we need to press the hell out of them and try and force turnovers before they get is past court. That is our best game plan in my opinion. Duke does not love to run nearly as much as Oklahoma.
I feel like this was a down year for the ACC - a lot of really good teams but no one particularly great other than Virginia. I expect to be in this game, not many teams play D like we do with 5 guys who will sit in your pocket all game and bigs hedging out all over the place. We didn’t even shoot the ball particularly well today outside of Fatts and the last 5 mins from EC.
Interesting that we played them last year. Could that help? They’re a whole different team. We aren’t the same.
I felt like Dan was deferential to coach K that game. Of course I was there and didn’t get the up close tv view. But that’s what I thought. They showed duke so much respect that we didn’t really play our game and then they played a two man game that beat us. Then everyone was complementary after the game and we went separate ways.
Bagely and Carter kind of loom over the game. How did they lose the games they’ve lost? Taking Allen out of the game is something we can do.

Last year, blue suit man and I drove last minute to see the A10 championship game. This year, I'm making the trip again with a few other friends (leaving Friday night after work) to see us beat Duke and get to the round of 32. There's just something about that drive to Pittsburgh ... Look forward to seeing many of you on Saturday repping the Keaney Blue.
Stan has guarded guys bigger than he is before. But Carter is 6'10". And who takes Carter when Stan comes out or gets in foul trouble? Akele? And Andre on Bagley to start the game? We're going to have to play a nearly flawless game, create a lot of turnovers and shoot like hell. Definitely a bad matchup, but glad to get a shot at them.

If we beat Duke, we'll be in the Sweet 16.
I'm too hyped up. Can't even talk straight. Thanks for the correction.

I don’t even want to speak the matchups. Just in wait and see mode.

I think Dan will change something up. You may even see AB and Cyril start and play a few short stints together. I think Akele has to play when Stan comes out. I think we could also see Rhody play some zone.
I would be shocked if we play zone.. That's not who we are.. Maybe cause some turnovers and get some easy hoops.. Worry about the hedging especially with berry... Dukes big men are a lot better than what we have faced.. Ineffective hedging could lead to some easy hoops.. Cyril is huge in this game and we have to have our best shooting game... Rhody rhody rhody

This. We'll need to be about 15-20% better than they are from 3-point range, so it can make up for all the dunks/layups their bigs will get on the possessions we can't deny the ball inside. The way to do this is play uptempo and get wide open threes in transition instead of the dribble in place contested shots. We'll need to find the right pace to where we are not reckless and turning it over while forcing a few Duke turnovers.
I was waiting for the win today before I thought about how much I hate dook. I really hate dook. It's going to be a tough matchup for us, but I predict we pull it off and get to week 2, in fact I'd put money on it if I knew how to gamble on sports.
Playing with house money now. Agree with DPS...we had NO chance vs Kansas in ‘98 and we have about that on Saturday. We’re playing with house money. I hope the team comes out good and relaxed. There should be less pressure in this game than any other game we’ve played in the last 2 years. We aren’t suppose to have a chance so just go out and enjoy the experience and stranger things have happened....

Sorry, I think house money is a bad pre-game take...we didn't come all the way out here for a single win and a "that's nice".
Get after it Saturday like it could be the last game of the year and lives depended on it, connect with Christian, find out how BC did it..I don't want to see loose and relaxed, and I don't want to have conversation on the way home about how they didn't win..but they didn't feel any pressure. I think you play to reach pressure sitchs like this. I want to see major intensity and tenacious D. . Been an awesome season...every game now calls for full speed ahead, max intensity and guns a-blazin'
