I do not mind the play in game for the Bonnies, gives the conference an easy chance to make some extra money.Rhody74 wrote:Not to look past Oklahoma, but can we ever get away from Duke???? Also, the Bonnies should not have been subjected to the playin game.
I feel fortunate to have drawn Oklahoma. As for Duke, beating them would be huge for the program.

Ugh I have the day off Thursday but it's because of a 9 AM court date at the traffic tribunal. Was hoping for any start time besides 1215. Hopefully the judge is a Rhody fan and hurries the process along.

As great as Trae Young is, he turned the ball over 161 times this year. Our guards can force him into a lot of mistakes.

Great to see DH reaction to ASU getting a bad
Ok back to the selections as objective college hoop fan does anybody else have a problem with ASU getting in over USC ??
USC got the 2 seed in PAC 12 at 12-6 and ASU was seeded 9 at 8-10
Then ASU loses to 8 seed Colorado and USC wins 2 games and makes their title game !!!
Anyone else confused by this ???

Not 100% sure on this, but I think there are 2 sessions per day and it gets you in for 2 games (1 session).NYGFan_Section208 wrote:Are the tickets that are thru Rhody for just the Rhody session, or for the day?adam914 wrote:Good point, I probably shouldn't say won't sell out, but tickets should be available somewhere.josephski wrote: It’s probably already sold out but yea if you wait last minute tickets get pretty cheap on stubhub.

I think the rationale is that USC didn’t beat anybody all year and ASU had some very quality wins.

......I am trying to be positive, stay positive but it is tuff, the way the season end has gone, I find it difficult that the Hurley magic wand can over come the way we have played recently......trending downward......let’s hope the switch can be turned to get the “it” factor back that made this team a real threat to make noise, given the second round game match up, not feeling so good......yes, big picture stuff, two years running and dancing, three on the way, great, this week, not so good..... you?

Re: NCAA Selection Show - TBS @ 6pm
- Ranked for 7 weeks
- Several prime time ESPN games
- A coach being mentioned at the top of the list for every major coaching vacancy
- Showed in conference tournament that we're for real
- A video of our coach getting emotional/relieved that he didn't cost his brother a bid that is certain to go viral
- And finally, the first game of the tournament against a polarizing opponent with all eyes on our game for at least a half...
It is a GREAT time to be a Rhody fan. If random people are stopping me in San Diego County and asking me about our program, saying they saw us, etc...that's a big deal.
This is what we all wanted. To be a part of the conversation and to plant our "RI" flag on the college hoops landscape. It's here! Let's enjoy it.

I'm going to guess/hope that it is the Marriott Downtown, right across the street from the PPG Paints Arena. That is where I booked, anyways. If anyone hears a different plan, I might consider switching to the team hotel to be with my people (coming into town solo as of now), but I also want the points haha.RIFan wrote:do we know the team hotel?

I just booked my flights and hotel in Pittsburgh. Do you guys think I should I buy my tickets on stubhub right now for ~$60 each, or should I try and wait and get them just before the game? I'm not a season ticket holder (might as well be) so I don't think I'll have the opportunity to get any of the URI reserved tickets.

Pretty simple. If we play well we will win Thursday. If we don't we won't.
We do need to play better than we have lately. That's all.
Terrell was gassed from playing his ass off Friday and Saturday.....he should be a lot better against Oklahoma, and so will we.

I could maybe do a liquid lunch at Harry's on Thursday. I will be in Pittsburgh for the weekend assuming all goes well, but I'm in the same boat with work on Thursday, plus the infant+toddler situation kills any shot of an extended trip to the Ketchup Capital.DelroyIsMyHero wrote:I'll be watching. I'm glad ASU got in. Especially after seeing Dan's reaction. I know the committee said Davidson knocked ND out, but if ASU was left out too, I could see Dan wondering if things might have been different with a URI win. His reaction made it look as though the weight of the world was taken off his shoulders. That would have been quite a burden to have to bear.
