We don't have a scholarship available for a mid year transfer this year. The open scholarship only opens up for the 2018-19 school year

Nice little feature on Jermaine’s coach, Chris Cole-
Also, RCCA comes in at 12 locally in this ranking-

RCCA lost a close one. Harris is #0. It includes lots of game highlights that aren’t him, but at least it’s something...

Harris looks very comfortable putting ball on the floor and attacking the basket. Hits 4 threes in this highlight!ace wrote:RCCA lost a close one. Harris is #0. It includes lots of game highlights that aren’t him, but at least it’s something...

Like that Harris took the FT on the technical. Didn't like him slowing down in transition D, like him being able to handle on the break.

The photo of Jermaine in the above story and some shots of him on Twitter this past weekend are encouraging......looks like he has the size and strength to compare to the Watson kid at providence.....a pro style body already.....

Jermaine seems to be fouling out often. 5 fouls in 21 minutes last game. Great game but he will need to reduce the fouls in college.

Latest Team Rankings:

Ridge View 5-5 FTs for 13 points
Huntington Prep 4-5 FTs for 12 points
Battlefield 6-7 FTs for 25 points
Bladensburg 4-6 FTs for 24 points

Re: '18 MD PF Jermaine Harris (URI Signed LOI)
Tonight’s game:
Love theses quotes from article:
The designed shot rimmed out, but Jermaine Harris was there for a putback to stem the Douglass surge. Harris added four more free throws down the stretch as Rock Creek Christian held on for a 69-58 victory in Upper Marlboro.
"He's our go-to guy," senior guard Frank Evans said of Harris. "When we're down, we go to him. He's going to get others open. We feed off his energy
Driving to his right, Rose dished a behind-the-back pass to Harris cutting down the baseline. The 6-foot-9 Rhode Island commit rose up for a backboard-quaking two-handed slam, marking the beginning of a 14-1 run to close out the half.
"My coach kept saying, 'Keep eating 'em up down low,' and that's what I did," said Harris, who finished with 24 points. "Nobody could stop me."

Re: '18 MD PF Jermaine Harris (URI Signed LOI)
Happy with what we think we are getting. The big tough top 100 talent that plays and looks the part. A high level college player that can play with anyone. Dominate many.
But now that he is signed I am hopeful he pulls a Fultz or one of these guys that went from middle of the pack top player to lottery pick. That would be cool.

Re: '18 MD PF Jermaine Harris (URI Signed LOI)
What we need, and hope Harris and Tate can become, are upgrades over what we currently have at the 4 and 5 positions.
And then we need more quality depth at those positions......like was said, recruiting never stops.
I feel both of them will become very good players for us. Anything more than that, who knows until it happens?

I don't believe Harris backs up anyone. My guess is he starts from Game 1Billyboy78 wrote:I wonder if Harris and Langevine play together, or if one backs up the other.
Langevine, Tate, Preston, player to be named later (1 scholarship open), Tertsea, Layssard battle for the other big man spot - along with the "big" guards just as Robinson won a starting "big man" spot this year alongside Berry.

Re: '18 MD PF Jermaine Harris (URI Signed LOI)
The makeup of the current underclass men and the 4 players coming in, on paper looks like the most balanced and potentially the most talented team ever to take the floor for URI. I know we are talking about unproven players, but on paper the future looks better than ever and all the potential to be a perineal top 25 program after a year of reloading. Our coaching staff kicks ass!!!!! It’s a GREAT time to be a Rhody Fan!!!

Best guess, with little information and a lot of time for things to change...Cyril at the 5, Jermaine at the 4 when the ball gets tossed up opening night next season. Dowtin, Fatts, Brandon Adams round out the starting 5. If i had to take a wild wild guess.

Re: '18 MD PF Jermaine Harris (URI Signed LOI)
We don't bring in a player like Jermaine Harris to come off the bench. The A10 rarely lands skilled big men like him so he'll be a starter all four years.
Yeah I see CT starting next year. He has the tools to be a special player and I'm ready for him to gain some confidence and take over a leadership role. He's been unlucky playing behind some of the best guards we have ever had here.
I think Adams will be our Fatts next year. Bring him off the bench to provide a spark and a great scoring punch.
Remember when Baron would randomly have good teams that would blow it and then they would all graduate and we would be terrible again? I still can't believe how excited I am for next season with the amount of talent we lose!
Go Rhody!!!
