Sure, I already had it but didn't include. I have for all we have offered for 2018 and for 2019. Just be forewarned 2 star players can and do become 3 star players, big hint for the 2029 list

Yeah, I'm sure he was the lead on the Georgia and Florida kids. Tom Moore must have strong New England ties. Maybe between him and Boswell, we can start killing it with New England recruits.
Plus several offers to North Carolina, Florida, Georgia players
I understand that there are many factors involved in an assistant coach leaving but doing so at this time of year no doubt has a real negative effect on recruiting. Let me say that this move leaves a real sour taste as it relates to ARD. Brownell must be a little desperate as I am not sure what ARD has done to date in his career that would make him seem to be a great recruiter.
I hold no grudges against ARD. Disappointed that we can't keep him, sure. But he's going home to a P5 job and extra 50K in his pocket. No Brainer for him.

Would be nice to see a consolidated list so I can see what 4* players we are involved with. Not concerned about "potential" at this point. Just want to see the 4* recruits we are involved with

Jalen Carey, KJ Buffen (an ARD recruit), Valdir Manuel and Jermaine Harris. Some have Philmon Gebrewhit as a 4 star. That's all I can think of from the '18 class.

theblueram,
as per your request. I also listed players offered who do not play EYBL and their corresponding Stars.
Nike EYBL clearly has the most 4 Star players AND has the most 4 Star Players still playing in the Championship 24 Teams July 12-16.
Some of these players like Anthony Nelson and Jared Rhoden of NY Lightning have played themselves from 2 Star Status to 4 Star Status during the 4 EYBL Spring Sessions - just not shown in the ratings yet. Both of these guys would be great to have.
A week or so ago, we offered Jared Rhoden and Mac McClung. They were both being recruited by Quinnipiac. So, I assume Moore is the one recruiting them. Quinnipiac is also recruiting a 4 star guard named Tavon Jones. I wonder if Moore is now recruiting him for URI.
Billy: that sounds likely. When the staff changes, recruiting targets change.
"Every season, college basketball has one or two teams that rise from dormancy to relevancy, squads that make long-awaited charges at the NCAA Tournament and become really fun storylines along the way."
Hearing that last year's success and the story line that Hurley is building something long-term at URI are having a significant effect on the recruiting trail. When assistants start recruiting someone, the recruit and AAU coach are very familiar with URI and Hurley, which wasn't often the case in the past. The staff feels at this point that they can recruit anywhere. They know they have to turn all of this into a strong 2018 class but they're excited about the possibilities.
I'm sure Ace and others are hearing the same things.

I guess you can say its recruiting season! There are visits left and right. "Some place warm, a place where the beer flows like wine, where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano"

Yeah, good to see. Hopefully, we'll get a couple of commitments soon. I still think we'll hold 1 opening for a transfer or juco.
WSU is recruiting Sasha Sukhanov, a 6'11 center at Teays Valley HS in West Virginia. Sasha grew up in Russia but moved to the states this last fall. He received an offer from Old Dominion last week and has been garnering interest from James Madison as well. Sasha will play AAU ball with Boo Williams on the Nike EYBL this season.
I'm not sure why anyone thought we were going to get commitments this early. Truth is there are not many programs on our level getting verbals this early from their top prospects. We could certainly get some commitments right now but they'd be from prospects that wouldn't bring too much excitement from fans. The staff has some good prospects they're after and while some MAY commit late summer, most won't commit until the fall.
Saying we "might" get a recruit soon is the equivalent of saying nothing at all. It requires no insight, no knowledge, and no information. We "might" and we "might not." Eventually we will sign five players. If you keep saying it's coming, eventually you will be right. When we get commitments doesn't matter at all, who the commitments are matters a great deal. One thing is for sure, when our new assistants officially joined the staff for URI's internal bookkeeping purposes has literally nothing to do with when a guy might announce his intention to play here. That was always specious.
