From the article...
While Dana isn’t close to making a decision, he does have a few visits lined up this Summer.
“Northeastern and URI are definite visits. I’d like to visit ODU, Richmond, and USC or Washington as well.”

I've seen Dana listed as a '19. I thought I might be looking at Daman, but it was definitely Dana. Did he reclass?ace wrote:http://endlessmotor.net/2017/06/19/2018 ... er-visits/

I changed the Subject to Class of 2019, but he was originally listed as 2018

Ramster, I've seen him listed as both an '18 and a '19. So, I'm not sure what he is now.ramster wrote:I changed the Subject to Class of 2019, but he was originally listed as 2018

He is listed on the EYBL Roster for this spring and for the upcoming Peach Jam Championships as 2019, so that's about as recent as you can get. Not sure why it changed.

I don't understand this. Tate and Gebrewhit were both '18s at one point. Now one of them is a '19 and one is a '17?URIRecruitingInfo wrote:

Re: '19 CA SF Dana Tate (Offer)
Why are all of these visits unofficials? Officials are 48 hours, I believe. A lot more time to show the kids South County, Newport, a couple of restaurants, etc. It seems a lot less can get done during an unofficial.

Re: '19 CA SF Dana Tate (Offer)
A lot of recruits don't want to use up their official visits too early, especially if they can easily get to the college.

Re: '19 CA SF Dana Tate (Offer)
Can we accept that no top flight recruit has ever chosen URI because of south county, the beaches, newport, etc.
That has zero influence on these kids.
(In no particular order)
Playing time
TV exposure
Program / accouturements
Coach
Chance to Win
Girls
End of story - nothing else matters. Rhode Island isn't South Beach, the nice shoreline isn't convincing anyone to come there.

I remember Christion Thompson saying how much he and his parents loved the area. He posted a picture of the ocean from his hotel room in Newport. I'm sure he's not the only one. I'd say it has more than zero.

Not sure about this, but with the EE kids we might not be able to get verbals until after July 1st.theblueram wrote:not even a peep about these visits?
New fiscal year at URI, and the 1st is when the assistant coach contracts are either renewed or start.

Expressions has to be one of the most vocal teams I've covered. Philmon Gebrewhit & Dana Tate a big reason why. High IQ, versatile wings

They're still both receiving new interest from schools with Gebrewhit getting offered by Dayton and Tate receiving interest from Ole Miss. I think they'll both let it play out a while.CT Rhody wrote:Anybody have a time table on when these two are looking to commit to a school?
