Hurley goes to watch a player who already

a player this team desperately needs?
Makes very little sense.
And if I am Fatts, while I am sure it is great to see the support, I think I would be saying, I am coming coach, I'd rather see you out trying to get a key recruit to play with me. Dean or Cox would have been nice attendees too.
We see from Fatts' Twitter that he was happy Dan was at his game.
If Shakur is choosing his next program based on the head coach, there's a good chance we've already lost because of Self and Marshall's resumes, so it almost doesn't matter how many times Hurley is there. However, if Shakur is swayed by who's been with him the longest, seeing Carr in the stands and knowing Dan is watching a recruit that's been with us longest could make an impression. He might be looking for that type of loyalty.

Really? Want to go over the list of frontcourt players
who were recruited and never even visited?
Sorry, Bill Self and Marshall watched this kid in person.
I don't care what type of relationship this guy has or not
with an assistant coach, when the name coaches
show up, players notice.
It's flattering to them.
I hope I'm wrong, but time will tell.
Put me in the camp that's going to trust Dan in recruiting.

Yeah, I didn't get that either. Hopefully Carr can at least get him to visit.
To me, that seems as if he's considering a de-commit and exploring options for other schools. His stock has gone through the roof the last couple of months.
They ain't on the team till they got a jersey and number...
I agree with Rod...We have 5000 guards next season and lose our best frontcourt players. We can't play all guards if we want to go anywhere in the NCAA tournament. Shakur would be a huge get.

All I keep hearing is Stan saying that Dan wasn't involved in his recruitment until he got on campus. This seems to be Dan's biggest flaw. To reel in the big time recruits he's gotta get out and be seen!

Agree BAR--it is over the top because of my old buddy showing up on the Recruiting Page and spewing his negative BS and complaints. I am sure the coaches are during what they think is right. Too bad we don't have another recruiting position available on the staff for my buddy to show the staff how to recruit.
By the way I wonder how many games he attended during our 9 game winning streak?
Hey sicko, I can barely leave the house these days, so
the answer is ZERO.
I am in the process of beating something that has a 90% mortality rate.
One hell of alot tougher than sitting on my ass at the Ryan Center.
But I'm sure you likely know that, since you love to react to my posts,
and are just trolling as usual.
Maybe I can send you some Oxycodin, which may help your
mental state?

Shakur is 0 on red I believe. It's a bunch of 1 on 1 basketball from both sides and the commentators are absolutely terrible but if you mute it and want to check him out you can see why he's rated so high. Strong, sees the floor well, nice touch around the hoop. Would be a perfect fit for us and a terrible fit for Kansas
Talked to a buddy who is an assistant in the conference. Said he was lightly recruited coming into the year, and that URI and a few other schools were on him early. Hope that pays off. He also said there was another kid from Jersey heading out to Hutch that is going to be a stud.

He's now rated as the #1 JUCO prospect so it wouldn't be a surprise if he goes right until the end of the signing period to make a decision. That's still a few weeks off, so a lot could shake out by then. We offered to another PF prospect yesterday.

Tyrese Samuel, from outside Toronto I believe. Unfortunately class of 2018 so still a year off.
Lots of options right now with all the transfers and 5th years.......but this guy would be perfect, step right in and would be our best frontcourt player most likely.
I could see Dan getting a transfer [with the waiting period] and a 5th year....that's if we have another spot available.....I would think we'll know about that soon.

That's why I wish Dan had gone to see his championship game with Carr. It was great that he was at Fatts' game, but it might have been better if he were in Kansas that day.
The kid list 12 schools. In his previous release Rhode Island was added as a 9th school. I think Dan and the assistant coaches know a little bit more than we do about recruiting and have more details about Juiston's position regarding URI.

So we risk losing a prospect everyone on here loves for a chance at a guy kinda sorta vaguely interested in us maybe?

So if Dan told Fatts he couldn't make the game and he has a shot to land the number 1 juco in the country,he would decommit? I think Russell has faith in his coach and wants to have the best team around him all four years. We obviously have no idea if Dan going to Kansas would have helped, but when you can land a kid this good I take the chance. I just don't believe that it would of had any effect on Daron being here next year.

Huh? I normally agree with most of your posts, but this one makes no sense.
After visiting Pitt this weekend, Khris Lane visits URI next weekend. If Lane (hypothetical if) were to commit to URI on-- or immediately following --his visit, do you move on and wish Juiston well?
While Juiston is considered the #1 juco prospect, Lane is considered by many as one of the top grad transfers this spring.
