wouldve been nice to not get P5 jobbed by the whistles in the 2nd half, but no shame here.
That was a great season and a great run. Nothing but pride in how they played and the image they showed

Proud of the team and knew we'd be jobbed by refs, gotta keep the BCS cartel in tact. Did it against Stanford and did it here.

This is not on the refs. This is on not boxing out, giving Oregon second and third chances, committing boneheaded fouls on 3 point shots and missing 2 fast break layups. And the timeout by Hurley was not smart.
Rhode Island had this game won if they could have just played smart and fundamentally sound.

Great season...great run...am sure Hass would've liked to have finished better personally, but Stan and CL more than picked up his slack. Just wasn't in the cards tonight...long time til November, but I can't wait.

Rough end to a great season. I know this is a unique situation but my reaction right now if this were a regular season game would be "we needed Martin in there at the end". Can't really second guess Hurley after the amazing run but that is a big "what if". We were getting killed on the glass with the small ball lineup. IMO I would have liked to have lived and died with Martin at the end, even if it was an offense-defense type situation but nothing you can do about it now. Great season, tough loss.

We have lost several NCAA games due to bad calls at the end......nothing new.
Have to win by daylight to avoid getting hosed. Had our chances.

We played a great game against a legit top 10 team and a bad last 30 seconds cost us. Wish we would have gone for a layup and take our chances putting them to the line as they were only 18-27.
Wished the other team had a little more class. What a collective bunch of douchebags. They really need shut up and play the game.

The charge on EC pretty much sealed it. We got screwed.
I'm not one to point to officiating for the reason a team loses. But, shit.
This whole tournament has been a sham. Worst officiating I've ever seen in a tournament.
The NCAA should be ashamed of who they put on the floor.
Before our game, saw Arkansas getting royally fucked

Lots of horrible no calls and calls.
Brooks reached in on Garrett BIG TIME
Stan got that steal and they said he was out of bounds when he wasn't touching the ball.
Brooks pushed off constantly.
EC still a 0 on buzzer beaters.
That was ours and we choked it away. Too many dumb plays at the end.
Go Michigan.

Re: Game #35: Oregon (NCAA Tournnment Rd of 32) - Sun March 19
The worst officiated I have ever seen. The foul call on Iverson if it really was a foul was clearly before any shot attempt.
He just threw it up after the whistle, and the offensive foul call on Matthews was completely bogus and they know it. It
looked like the officials were instructed to insure the outcome. It looked like a game being played on Hawk Hill in
Philadelphia. The fix was in on this one. I don't think they really had a chance to win the way they bailed them out at every turn.
URI outplayed Oregon for the whole game and won in my mind. I am done with this bogus tournament. I hate to blame
officials but in this case they deserve full blame for this debacle. I have never seen a game where the officials were as
responsible for the outcome as this one. URI played a great game and won. That is how I will remember this game and
I have never said that about any game before ever. I am sick to my stomach not because the score board says they lost,
but because it was so unjust and undeserving for Oregon.

Refs handed the game to Oregon.
Hurley mismanaged the second half a bit. He coached every pass and movement in the first 10 minutes of the second half.
Martin gave one of his patented no shows. I thought he put them behind him a month ago.
Great year. Sour ending.

Tough loss, but these guys played so well in the last stretch and deserved a better ending especially Hass. When the sting of this loss wears off, this team can be proud of what they accomplished and look forward to what can be another great season come November!!

The refs were both autistic and biased, not a good combination. We absolutely deserved to win this game and got hosed by the zebras. Whole different ball game if it was called fairly

Good job, Rams. 18 years, where did that go? I didn't want to post during the game, thinking I might jinx them.
It's been so long since 1999. Three coaches. A lot of strife among the fans over the years. Some hurt feelings and bad blood. But finally, a reason for optimism.
Before the game, "The Cats and the Cradle and the Silver Spoon" was playing on B101. Made me think of Rhody. Half a lifetime gone by, have a son now. See some old faces here, true diehard, unrelenting fans and new ones. You deserved this. We deserved this.

Between the charge on EC and the phantom out of bounds call on Stan, we could have had this.
But we let them get too many rebounds and open 3s.

And PS...while I am looking forward to the start of next season, the sucky part is that "winter" is right behind that, so ok to have a break. Have a great summer, go Sox...GREAT JOB RHODY HOOPS and I take back every negative word I ever said about Hurls.....

this is not on the refs, yes they favored Oregon but they were not the difference
couldn't get the rebound up 72-69 with 2 minutes to go resulted in Oregon getting the tying 3, yeah that shouldn't have been a charge on EC but it was still tied at that point with a minute to go. Dorsey made the big shot.

The key sequence when we up 4 they call timeout and we still come out with small lineup. We foul and DH doesn't bring in Hass in case of a miss free throw and sure enough they get the rebound off the miss and hit the 3 to tie it
You can't have Jared on the block expecting to rebound a miss FT against their bigs

Everyone in the espn comment section are saying that they are appalled by the apparent fix.
All the neutral people are on our side.
We still were dumb.
This'll take me a tiny bit to get over.
Sucks.
It could be worse.
We could be in the NIT right now..
