straight forward game plan for this one, just have to execute.
1 of Adams or Mobley will get theirs, just lock down the other one. cant let them both get going.
pound the snot out of them inside with Hass and KI.

Holloway was pretty dominant on offense yesterday when he wasnt in foul trouble. Bodes well for Hassan and KI. Also UMass straight up didnt contest at least half of the shots SBU took.

Re: Game #31: St. Bonaventure - 3/10 @2:30PM - NBCSN
I'm concerned about how tight our team gets in big games.
Inevitably today, there will be one of those stretches on offense where we're stagnant, taking poor shots and not moving the ball, hopefully that stretch doesn't last as long as it did in games like Davidson where we couldn't hit anything for 10 or so minutes.
I was watching a bit of the Notre Dame - Virgina game last night and I saw a beautiful slip screen pass to the ND big man for an easy dunk (albeit Virginia's rotation was poor on the play). Why can't we get that pass to Hass more often (or ever)? During the Davidson game, I remember feeling like there were multiple occasions to get the ball to Hass down low, but our guards hesitated for a second and the opportunity was lost. I really want to see us feed Hass more and I think there's more of an opportunity there to get him the ball moving towards the hoop as the defense rotates.

St. Bonaventure was in the same exact spot we're in last year. They could be looking for payback.

St Bonaventure - UMASS Game questions:
Why did Kellogg play so many guys:
1st number is the fouls each player ended the game with:
Starters:
2 - Greshham - 16 minutes
5 - Hines - 20 minutes
1 - FLowers - 17 minutes
4 - Lewis - 22 minutes
3 - Anderson - 24 minutes
Subs:
1 - Berger - 4 minutes
0 - Baldwin - 16 minutes
3 - Holloway - 13 minutes
2 - Jarreau - 29 minutes
1 - Pipkins - 27 minutes
3 - Clark - 12 minutes
Seems odd that Jarreau, Pipkins and Clark not starting. Was Kellogg losing the team? How can you spread so many minutes across so many players at the end of the Season in crunch time? Something seems odd here.
On the other hand you have Schmidt, when asked about players being tired, he said these are young guys, they can rest someday when they are dead.
Bonnies minutes:
Starters:
Gregg - 28 minutes
Ayeni - 24 minutes
Mobley - 40 minutes
Taqqee - 34 minutes
Adams - 40 minutes
Subs:
Andoh - 23 minutes
Ikpeze - 4 minutes
Kaputo - 6 minutes
Griffin - 1 minutes
UMASS Bench Minutes had 101 minutes, Starters had 99
Bonnies Bench had 34 minutes, Starters had 166. Mobley and Adams played all 40 minutes.
Seems like UMASS stayed with Bonnies despite being in disarray. Seems to bode well for URI since we seem to be continually improving having won 9 of last 11 games with 5 straight wins.

Rhode Island (21-9) – The Rams now boast a pair of Top 25 victories, but they are just 7-7 against the Top 100 with two sub-100 losses. They took care of business last week, and a win in the semis against Dayton would enhance their at-large profile. But first, they need to beat St. Bonaventure on Thursday.
We took care of business last week, time to take care of business this week.

Did I miss something?
Besides Cinncnati, who else was top 25?
VCU? When did they get into the top 25?

Rhody opens with two treys and looks strong throughout the first several minutes.
At the first media timeout, Rhody leads
URI 9, BONA 4

It is hard to compare because Bonnies switched to this extended trap and we have a much worse lineup on the floor. Robinson doesn't look ready to play.Blue Man wrote:Obviously early but the flow was better with Dowtin...

The woman calling this game is setting women's broadcasters back a decade.
This is awful. I hope Berry checks into the game and crashes into the broadcast desk and puts her on the PUP list for the weekend.

Thompson is a disaster. Loses the ball out of bounds then loses his shoe. Not your fault you lose your shoe, but maybe foul up top so you don't just give up a free hoop.
