I'm Back! Sort Of.
First of all, I want to thank those who had so many kind words to write.
Old friends, new friends, some I've never met.
How much did it mean?
Well, my daughter used to call me first thing every morning and
read the comments to me to boost my spirits, and it did.
I want to thank Chris Disano who came to the hospital solely to deliver
the St. Joe's box score.
Steve and Don for their shoutout on a broadcast.
RoadyJay for his sign last night at the Lasalle game.
Thorr for his gracious phone call to my home, this evening.
It all brings home that we are Ram Nation, and real life comes before our
disagreements or viewpoints.
So, now, walking 10 feet is a challenge, just getting in and out of a chair
is painful, and I face a long difficult recovery.
Being told I can bleed out at any time and die before I got to a hospital isn't what anyone
'wants to hear.
Only a true Rhody fan would understand my reaction to the odds of my stint slipping, are
5% over the lifespan of the patient, while mine slipped in a few days.
Kind of the Stanford game of surgery.
I'm home to my wonderful daughter, grandkids, Arthur and the pack.
No more being awaken at 4:30 AM to give blood.
No more being awaken by a doctor, to ask how I feel.
No more gross swill passed off as hospital food.
At least I hope not any time in my future.
I love you, Keaney Blue!

Good to have you back. We ALL were very concerned. Take it easy. Just sit back and listen to some Barry Manilow music. That'll keep the old BP down.

Re: I'm Back! Sort Of.
Welcome back Rod!
I thought about you many times the other night, looking over at your section. You unfortunately didn't miss much Thursday.
I don't mean to be trite, but given your comeback from the Stanford game of surgery, is it ok to draw the connection that our Rams can come back and turn their ship around? Hopefully they will at least show up tomorrow.
Either way, it truly is just a game. While frustrating might be an understatement, we shouldn't ever place more importance on it than it deserves. The health of family and friends is bigger than basketball or politics or anything else.
I'm so thankful that you are home! Take care of yourself, and get well soon. We will save your seat.

Like any true Rhody fan, it'll take more than a hospital stay to keep you down! There's more to life than hoops, to be sure, but Rhody hoops is the bond that makes this a family. Be well, Rod!

So glad you are home with your pack! Being at home is the best kind of medicine. Nice to see your words on the board again. Personally, I think tomorrow's game will be a Rhody win. Need the veterans to lead and play like vets. Go Rams!

Hey Rod, we missed you buddy. I am very happy to hear that you are home. Please don't
look for a replay of the LASALLE game to watch because it might upset you too much. i don't
think any Rhody fans should see that again. Yeah, at least you can be more comfortable and
undisturbed by hospital routines now that you are home. wishing you a full recovery ASAP.

Very glad to see a post from you and see that you are home with your wonderful family. I think one thing you can tell about you just from reading this board is that you are a fighter. So keep up the fight regardless of how difficult it may be. And all the wishes and prayers for a full and speedy recovery.
