So, draft order is based on last year's record, worst to best, right?

I did not realize we did not have an IR spot last year, otherwise I would have proposed this before, but since we do allow for a keeper in this league there should be an IR spot, I think. Anyone else agree?

So no traction on the IR spot? Would probably need to be in before the season starts tomorrow if we're going to do it.

Re: Keaney Blue Fantasy Football League!!!
Add it. what the heck, its not a money league right? so it shouldn't be a big deal.
Incidentally, since we're only playing for bragging rights, I didn't say anything about the "new" keeper rule that it appears twisted decided on without debate, but I will go on record now and say it was previously agreed upon that the same keeper could be kept year in and year out for a draft pick 50% higher than the previous year. I got the major screw job there, as part of why you have keepers is the gain an advantage in this very way with good planning and some luck. I should have OBJ for the price of a sixth round pick right now, but I don't want to be a bitch about it since I failed in my comish duties this year and again we're just playing for fun. If you look at the rosters and keepers, my team was the one most affected in this way, but I consider it a minor setback on my way to a dominant championship run!!! haha suckers I'm gonna smoke some of the good stuff this year, I'm gonna smoke you all as you suck Weather Manny's dust! Bring it on!!! it all begins tonight!
Smack talk! Lets go!! people start talking some shit! I'm soooo gonna parade my KB FFL championship belt around the Ryan Center, Dan Yorke or Easy Buckets is gonna tout my Fantasy Football prowess to a packed house, then I'm going to raise my belt up high and thank all the little people that made it possible.
Lets get it on Keaney Blue Fantasy Football League!!!

Who is eligible for IR? PUP guys? Suspended guys? Somebody like Romo, who is out for 10 weeks, or whatever it is, isn't available since he's not on any list, is he?

I believe it would track to their official designation by the league. So players on IR in the NFL would be eligible for an IR spot in our league.

So, a guy like Dion Lewis, who is on PUP, would not be eligible. Only guys designated, IR-Designated to Return.TruePoint wrote:I believe it would track to their official designation by the league. So players on IR in the NFL would be eligible for an IR spot in our league.

I tried it for Lewis and it worked. I can dig in and see what designations yahoo allows for. I know you can't just put anyone on IR (for instance, Brady or Josh Gordon).Billyboy78 wrote:So, a guy like Dion Lewis, who is on PUP, would not be eligible. That's my fault for not moving it back after the draft. I only use the "View Active Topics" and never go directly into any of the subforums so I honestly forgot that I moved it before the draft.

Re: Keaney Blue Fantasy Football League!!!
Looking to discuss the free agent system we use. It's frustrating being in next to last and needing players but the last 3 weeks I've have low priority by the randomness of yahoo and have gotten 0 players I need. So I'm opening the floor to suggestions to make it fair (FAAB, reverse standings, keep it random, something new)

This is what I'm talking about, Lacy is hurt so I need a RB and both TEs on the bye. I put in a waiver wire for Ajayai, Davis and Henry but I had priority #12 and ended up with 0 of them and now I'm screwed

Re: Keaney Blue Fantasy Football League!!!
When I made the first comment my complaint was that I'd come on the site, see a post on the main board, get excited there was finally something Rhody basketball related to talk about during the long off season, only to discover it was lame fantasy football talk.SGreenwell wrote:Nobody is forcing you to click on the topic title "Keaney Blue Fantasy Football League!!!" Which brings me to come back in here. I see posts in the Down the Line topic and think someone has something interesting to add with all the construction going on on campus or perhaps an interesting topic is trending. And nope, it's just sorry ass fantasy football talk. I know there's a way to subscribe or bookmark this thread and a way to block posters, but is there a way to block a thread? And absent that, is there a way for you guys to use your fantasy football message board instead of this one? No one cares about your league.

This is what this area of the message board is about. If you see its just this thread with new post click mark topics read in the top right of the Down The Line page. Then you don't have to read it. And you don't have to come in on your high horse and tell us you don't like FF over and over again

UCH - I like the deal you sent but I need Gore this week with Zeke Elliot on bye. Would consider doing it early next week assuming both guys come out of this weekend healthy if you're interested in that. Or could do another back like Ajayi or Coleman if you'd want either of those guys.

TP- sure, I'll live with Forte's 1.5 points again this week. Who knows maybe I'll get lucky. Amazing that trade makes any sense for me considering where Demarious ranked, not too long ago.

Hey RR02, seriously quit your bitching and while you're at it donate some money to the running of this forum. I hope you accidentally thought this post was info about something you do care about but are disappointed again.
Twisted I've been saying this since we started this league, we need to have rolling reverse order based on standings. And While I'm in favor of voting for all changes I think you should strong arm this particular change, you're right its BS the way it is now and in other leagues I've done with our current fa system some people lose interest in completing the season sooner than later. Bidding is ok as well, but still favors the fortunate as those of us that lose key guys when our luck is down may be forced to over spend for moderate talent. I think you should change it asap.

Re: Keaney Blue Fantasy Football League!!!
If we do waivers having anything to do with standings I am out. I find that to be so incredibly unfair I wouldn't enjoy the league. If you're in 7th place you actually need the waiver wire unlike the guy in last who is not going to be a factor anyways, and you'll never get to use it because the same shitty team will churn his roster week after week taking the best guy available every time. I don't mind our setting because at least you can strategically use or not use your claim position depending on your needs and where you are in the order. The fairest system is FAAB and I'd be ok with switching to that.

Re: Keaney Blue Fantasy Football League!!!
The waiver system isn't bad, but I think many of us don't understand it. I held off the first few weeks, got myself down to 3rd and grabbed Terrel Pryor who I thought was worth it (we'll see). Now I'm down to 5 again. In the meantime I just grab free agents as needed instead of using waivers. Once I figured it out I kind of like it. But whatever system is in place is fine by me.

Re: Keaney Blue Fantasy Football League!!!
You gonna take your ball and go home TP? You're wrong and we've been playing with this backwards ass system for three seasons, you don't see me threatening to leave because I have to deal with this stupid freaking waiver system. We want the last place teams to be interested as long as possible so they don't cash it in and let people get stupid wins because they don't care enough play a decent squad.
I'm willing to play with it just as is, but since twisted brought it up I responded and BTW, if we had rolling reverse standings Twisted probably wouldn't be moving into 11th place right now. What we have now can bury a team early without much hope of recovery, to which twisted can testify. Personally I think it should be changed now, not next season, this is a league for fun, no money, just some fun. But I can tell you whats not fun, being in 11th place after week 7 with the 12th waiver spot. I'm not even advocating for myself at this juncture, I'll be in 4th with the 10th waiver spot, if it were rolling reverse standings I'd have the 9th spot, big deal, I'm advocting for the billy squires of the league.
