Re: Adidas Nations Event
they are the counselors for the camp, there is also quite a few counselor games in front of scouts and the campers. At least that's what I've gathered over the last couple years, someone else may be able to get into the specifics

Re: Adidas Nations Event
I think that does pretty much sum it up, from what I recall with Hassan being a part of it last year. They are basically counselors throughout the camp, but then there are some pretty big counselor games that are attended by a lot of scouts. It's a pretty great event to be a part of.twisted3829 wrote:they are the counselors for the camp, there is also quite a few counselor games in front of scouts and the campers. Here is another quote from a story about last year's event that sums it up nicely.Since 2007, adidas Global Nations has elevated the world of grassroots basketball with a dynamic, international approach to exposure camps. Basketball is rooted in teamwork and the future success of the game is dependent on maintaining this framework. adidas Nations will continue to bring together the top U19 basketball players from the U.S., Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia and Latin America. A multi-faceted international curriculum featuring NBA coaches and players, as well as current collegiate players acting as camp counselors, will provide invaluable insight and first-hand knowledge to the participants, illustrating the pressures, rigors and challenges that accompany the rise of any aspiring NBA star.
The event is important because it gives the college counselors chances to play games against each other in front of NBA scouts. NBA guys will often jump in and get in the games as well as Kyle Lowry, Aaron Afflalo and Tracy McGrady jumped into games with the college guys last summer.

EC, then Hassan, then Jared and Kuran. It seems only fair that Jarvis gets his chance next summer.

If we're still an adidas team next summer
Take down the Robert Carothers banner and fix the concession stand lines

Those are great stats for JT considering he played 20 minutes in each game.

An even better day today. I'm guessing he's turning some heads. I see a huge senior year for him.

Another strong day for #URI guard Jared Terrell in lone #AdidasNations game -- 21 minutes, 17 points, 7-11 FG, 3-6 3FG. #Rams

If he can keep shooting the 3 like that, it's obviously a great thing, given how well he can attack the basket.Billyboy78 wrote:An even better day today. I'm guessing he's turning some heads. I see a huge senior year for him.

Re: Adidas Nations Event
JT and EC should both go out with big senior seasons.
I would hope for efficient stat sheet stuffing nights from both of them.

Re: Adidas Nations Event
Nice consistency he demonstrated over the 3 games. Excellent representation of URI at this event. Does not hurt recruiting considering the HS talent at Adidas Nations!!
