the only thing that could prevent it is if they reseed like the NFL. if TP holds on i could play him since he's the lowest remaining seed

I'm fully expecting Jarvis Landry to get 4 TD's tonight, ATP, and 200 yards.

In another league, I'm behind 5 points, with one player left - Reshad Jones, safety, Dolphins. Ugh. I basically need five tackles from him at the minimum, although if he could force a fumble, get a sack or an interception, that would help out quite a bit more.

Yeah, according to the score tracker, I'm now up 3 to 4 points. Still, it would be nice if he could pad that line, so that I can be safe from score corrections.twisted3829 wrote:he's got 3 right now, makes the 2nd half interestingSGreenwell wrote:In another league, I'm behind 5 points, with one player left - Reshad Jones, safety, Dolphins. Ugh, thanks Titans. Why do you feel the need to be cautious with your franchise quarterback when I've got fantasy football leagues to win? C'mon guys! Although, I probably should have started Winston... I just figured that the Titans would get down big to the Pats, and Mariota would pick up a bunch of garbage points on yardage and TDs.

Ha... And Baldwin rode the bench most of the year for me, thanks to him being ignored while Graham was still playing and Kendall Wright being decent before injury. I got completely bailed out by my skill position guys this week.twisted3829 wrote:SG your WRs are ridiculous if I hold against ATP i need a bad day from them to have a chance

ok I hung on, let's go SG fight for the championship
my other league got a little uncomfortable last night, i was up just under 49 point points and all he had was David Johnson...41 points later I hung on by 8 points.

Re: Keaney Blue Fantasy Football League!!!
Ha, I know man! I have four teams - two in money leagues - and the games are close in three. Unfortunately, I'm losing by quite a bit in one of the money leagues, but still, it's the Super Bowl for that one and a second place finish will net me my entry fee and a little extra. I've had a pretty good fantasy football year, thanks to Devonta Freeman, the Texans D and good WRs in most leagues.twisted3829 wrote:SG this is close, i need some more from Snead and Robinson in the 2nd half

It's a proud day for me! I'd like to thank Thomas for not shattering his ankle on his first play from scrimmage, which would have been a horrifying way to lose. Many thanks to the valiant competitors I bested this year for a fun season. <3

Although this was my only fantasy league that I didn't win, climbing the consolation bracket to the top despite auto-drafting my team isn't terrible! I got my keeper squared away for next season too...

my question for keeper is this: is it how you obtained the player or where the player was drafted regardless of who drafted them

Re: Keaney Blue Fantasy Football League!!!
if you got him via FA or waivers then you keep for your 10th round pick, so its how you got the player.

Re: Keaney Blue Fantasy Football League!!!
I think we need to vote on this. This started a argument that ended with people getting tossed from our league in another league I'm in. I think that the keeper value for a player should be where he was drafted. Undrafted players that are added via FA or waivers get a different value, whatever we decide it is. Because if you do it the other way, it creates a situation where an injured player carries X value to his owner, but if he drops him then he carries a different value for everyone else. The consequence of that is there will be situations where an owner has to carry an injured player on his roster - for instance if you had Jamaal Charles, you can't drop him if that means someone else is going to get him at a 10th rd value, but it also sucks to have to carry him on your roster since you're not going to want to keep him at a rd 1 value. A workaround is an IR spot, but we didn't have that this year so I think it is unfair for a dropped player to have their value reset.

Re: Keaney Blue Fantasy Football League!!!
I think that injured players should keep their original draft rank. Le'Veon Bell was my #1 draft pick, but after he got injured I dropped him to waivers. I recently picked him back up again in case I decide to have him next year too, and as much as I'd like to give him the value of a 10th round pick because he was a FA, it makes sense to keep him as a #1 pick. And say that somebody else picked him off of waivers, he should still remain a #1 pick, not just to me, the original owner of the player.

Was just about to post on this. Who is commish again?
We should also clarify our keeper rules of anyone remembers them.

If you guys need an enemy team who usually sucks (lets say the Dallas Cowboys), I'll gladly throw my hat in the ring. Good at fantasy baseball, awful at fantasy football, but not for lack of trying.

We had 1 keeper last year - give up the round that you drafted the player in. No 1st or 2nd round keepers. No keeping the same player two years in a row.SGreenwell wrote:I'm game to come back for another year. I'm neutral on whether we have or don't have keepers.

Ah, I vaguely remember that! Basically, to incentivize making good decisions about players later in the draft? Works for me.TruePoint wrote:We had 1 keeper last year - give up the round that you drafted the player in. No 1st or 2nd round keepers. So what do we think about draft dates? Running Ram was commish previously. Not sure the last time I saw him on the site.

Re: Keaney Blue Fantasy Football League!!!
did we do no 1st or 2nd round keepers last year or is just no one choose that?
I do like the 1 keeper from last year, cannot be the same player as last year (even if he was kept be someone else), but i would say can be from any round (obviously a deeper round has a better value)

Re: Keaney Blue Fantasy Football League!!!
Scheduling, Sundays work better for me than Saturdays. I have kickball games on Aug. 13, Aug. 20 and Aug. 27, usually about 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., so I could do a draft in the early afternoon or night on a Saturday. But, I can autodraft if need be.

Ideally we would do it later. The first game is Thursday Sept 8. I'd like to do it Sunday night Sept 4th, but would also be open to doing it that Mon or Tues (5th or 6th).

Re: Keaney Blue Fantasy Football League!!!
September would probably work fine with me, but at least with my other league, I think we usually have to have it in August because of "back to school" stuff and what not. I don't know if that's a consideration here though.
