True, but what are the chances of getting a big at this point, unless the Greek kid becomes visible?

Hopefully Berry can give us some quality minutes at the 5, and Hassan can play some at the 4.

Already has a reputation as a good defender. I'm sure Dan loves that about him.

If you guys really think we're involved with Papagiannis, then why not start a thread for him?

This would raise the surrender flag on getting a big,
which we need a hell of a lot more than a 5th SG.
One who can't shoot.

I dont care what position he plays, any time you can add a 4 star recruit you do it.

We all know no 4 star has ever been a bust, right?
You recruit for need, not rankings.
We don't need another SG, regardless of ranking.
Not like we're talking about Michael Jordan here.

Agree, I hope we land this kid. Cream can recruit but his coaching and development is somewhat suspect (Dwyane Wade aside) so I think this would be a good get.
Kid also had a failed drug test at IU, maybe they can bring him by the Emporium and get him a U.R.High t-shirt.

Chance to do what? Miss more shots?
EC, Thompson,Terrell, Garrett, Akele, and whoever they
sign for 2016. They need a backup PG, not a SG who can't shoot.
Indiana these days, isn't exactly Bobby Knight's Indiana.

Billy yes he could because all of the students are gone for the most part. Im on campus right now. place is pretty empty. woulda been better off last week when on one walk from the emporium through the quad equally enthused friends and I counted somewhere close to 500 dimes. literally like a thousand girls with more skin visible than clothes on. Im a student and its f***ing awesome here. Although I feel bad for all of you fathers nowadays with the clothes youre daughters are wearing (or not hahaha).
Anyways, Coach Cox is on this one. Has known the family for a long time. originally from Landover, Maryland; Coach Cox and Rhody were the first school to contact Stanford after he announced his intention to transfer. As of right now, Stanford and Coach Cox just finished a walk thru of campus and just entered here at the Ryan Center. Cox is gonna show him the floor followed by the locker room and facilities afterwards. The when the other coaches arrive, they will run some drills, go over how we practice and then theyre gonna put Stanford thru a scrimmage with the squad to see where hes at and how he fits in.
I can confirm that where ever this georgios pappagiannis stuff came from, well you can squash that. The greek is going to Kentucky or one of the other major programs that have come in late. One of Pappagiannis' advisers is fellow countrymen Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks who has been telling him that hes a 1 and done to the nba when in reality hes a 7 footer with loads of potential but that's all it is right now. potential. kid needs a ton of work and would not be a savior in the slightest. Picture a less athletic, wider version of Paschal Chukwu last season. it'd be nice to have a guy that big, but its not necessary to win the a10. Rod I kno you think we need a big to make it in the NCAA's but jesus can we just get there first, bring everybody back for next season and then we can talk about making it to the sweet 16 or elite 8 again.
Trust me this isn't an attack becuz id love to have a big too, but you recently referenced how the final 4 teams all had legit big men as there stars (except for Michigan st) well that doesn't work for me. becuz first off its gonna take a damn near miracle for us to make the final 4 in the first place but if we do somehow get there, we are much more likely to be the Michigan St team from this yr then ever being Kentucky duke or Wisconsin.
its been proven time and time again, that if you have a veteran laced team with a couple good young guys and you have experience and composure, you can do anything. having a team where there is only 3 guys(Terrell, garrett, mcglynn) under 6'5 is pretty darn good for me.
Id take Stanford all day everyday, its pretty rare that you get top 100 talent who is more concerned with defense then shooting. and btw does anybody know who Yogi Ferrell is? the ultimate chucker and you wonder why Robinson didn't shoot much.

Re: '13 MD SG Stanford Robinson (IU Transfer)
If EC was somewhat considering the NBA this year, you'd have to think he'll be seriously considering the NBA next year, whether we think he's ready of not. So, EC a likely will be gone and 4 will be gone. As a transfer, this signing would obviously be for the '16-'17 and '17-'18 seasons.

Ferrell. "The ultimate chucker" took an average of 12 whole shots a game,
and shot 43% from the field, and 41% from 3 and made 86% of his free throws,
with an almost 3-1 assist to turnover ratio.
Yeah, what a lousy player.
Those stats bury anyone we have.

Re: '13 MD SG Stanford Robinson (IU Transfer)
If we can get this guy, so be it, it'll be a good get. And if we don't get a big guy, so be it. I'm not expecting a 6'10 stud that is going to bring us to the final four. This team, as constructed, can win a game, maybe two, in the tournament, and I would be absolutely thrilled with that. I'm not going to lose sleep if our current big men are who we have come November.

It is what it is.
Nothing any of us say, or think makes a shit of difference
regarding what does or doesn't happen in recruiting or any other
aspect of the program.
We all have our opinions as to what we feel is the best for our program.
That's as far as it goes.

Re: '13 MD SG Stanford Robinson (IU Transfer)
I like this player in practice this year.....and depth for next.
This is the last guard we recruit this year, we need post talent......
Rod knows as I do how close we are and how rare in Ram history the opportunity next season presents....
I just happen to like this player but we get some post play we are there, now. Dancing deep.
Talking real back to the basket back down power post play....we have zero in our offense.

Yogi is a star. IU basketball is strange. bounce of the ball, a recruit here or there. Its like they could miss the tournament or make the FF. I say this not following Hoosier basketball at all.

Robinson's ranking is a bit lower than Iverson and Terrell, and higher than EC coming out of high school. Kid must be talented, just hasn't been able to put it together yet, just like Kuran.

Doesn't bother me. College kids smoke weed. Agree on not having a problem with smoking weed in general. I do have a problem with kids on the team getting suspended for doing stupid shit. Smoking weed when you play a sport that requires drug testing qualifies as stupid shit.

Yeah, I guess it is fair to question the judgment of someone who pops on a drug test they know is coming, but I don't know enough of the circumstances to pass judgment here.
