McBroom was a significant contributor this year for a bad SLU team. Not so much for Lancona.

Austin McBroom transfered out of Central Michigan and into St. Louis 3 years ago. He's all done.

Re: NCAA Transfers, 2014 Edition
McBroom is a junior, and has one more year.
No different than Reischel or Minnis.
If he graduates, he can go wherever as a post grad.
If not, he'd have to sit out a year, which would make him less
attractive to other schools.

His playing time diminished towards back half of the year. He was their lone returnee that saw any time on their good teams. In the 2nd game against us I think he played 2 minutes.

Wow! Too bad we can't grab him.
He'd have to sit out two years if he transferred
within the A-10.

Re: 2015 Coaching Carousel
So probably the most talented freshman to come into Fordham in a very long time is gone, and they're going to have a new coach come in with nothing and ask him to turn around a listless program after it took the last one well into his 5th season before any signs of life. Never change, Fordham - and by never change I mean drop back down to the MAAC because you don't belong in the A10.
If you say you’re a Rhody fan, I know you are my brother. For you have suffered as I have suffered.

Man thats too bad, Paschall is a hell of a player. I wonder if he would have stayed if Pecora did. If so, makes that firing seem even dumber now.

Eric Paschall has be given permission by Fordham to contact other schools and "has opened his recruitment" (in his words)...off the Fordham blog..

Perfect example of the PC fan mindset is a look at their Paschall thread -- he goes from a kid they had to google who plays for a cellar dweller A10 school to Lew Alcindor with his announcement he is transferring. Agreed he is a good player, and would be a good get for them or anyone, just funny to see their consistently ignorant POV.

Fordham had better name a new coach soon and his first priority would be to sit down with Paschall and Seinfeld and re-recruit them......

I don't know, Ramulous.
When Kansas, Louisville, and even PC are interested, I doubt he's coming back to Fordham.
I think the lure of going to one of those schools will be too great.
Of course, if he wants PT and be the big fish in a very small pond, he should stay. No guarantees at a P5.

Re: NCAA Transfers, 2014 Edition
It's just too bad that a player has to sit out 2 years if he were to transfer within the same conference.
If it was only one year, Dan I would think would be all over this one. Then EP could go from being a Ram, to being a Ram.
Wonder how many actually do that? [Transfer within a conference?]
Would think it's a rare occurance.

Well, if that rule ween't in effect, LaDonte Henton may
have been finishing his career here.
It was Preston Murphy, who had recruited Henton for URI,
who called his friend Ed Cooley and stirred Henton to PC.

No they aren't, even now a faction showing utter ignorance to hoops outside Providence -- comparing him to Junior Lomomba. The kid averaged 16 ppg as a FR as the target of every scouting report, Lomomba couldnt score 16 if he was the only guy in the gym for an hour. "A poor mans Tyler Harris"...its that subtle smugness, hilarious.hrstrat57 wrote:PC fans are right on this one....

Look at how much money the ACC has pulled in from this tournament. Its not football money but it is damn near. Farther they go, the more it will be.
"When PC is interested....?" Weren't they interested when he committed to Fordham?
I feel like some put PC too high.

Not getting that one.
If two major programs are interested,
why wouldn't a mid major be interested?

Re: 2015 Coaching Carousel
I didn't mean it that way Rod, PC recruited EP and thought they had a real shot at him.
Of course mids get involved with guys that the big boys want too.
In this case, EP might go to PC.
We had a similar situation with JT. We lost the first go round with Ok. St.
Then he picked us over some bigger schools after he decommitted. Glad that he did, btw.
MG, I actually threw PC in there because of their recruitment of him.

Re: 2015 Coaching Carousel
He's a nice player, for the right coach.
One of the knocks on him at Fordham was,
he wasn't in shape and played no defense at all.
His offense is his calling card, for sure.

Re: 2015 Coaching Carousel
Defense isn't his strong suit. How much of that was him, and how much on the coaching staff, don't know.
Would he fit in here? Probably not. But he can score, and scorers we don't have many of right now.
Not happening anyway.

Re: NCAA Transfers, 2014 Edition
Typically the requirement of sitting out if transferring within a conference is a conference not a NCAA rule.
So do we know for sure if the A10 is two years, or for that matter, is there a hard and fast rule about one year?
Wasn't Paschal from down the road in Connecticut.?

Tyler Harris is transferring, sort of expected as he graduates this semester. One year of eligibility left, thought he regressed quite a bit from last year to this.

They are on the edge of their seats awaiting the Dunn decision. Losing Henton, Desrosiers, Harris and Dunn would result in a major rebuild. And a 20 pt pasting at the Ryan Center.
