Hewitt vs. Pecora.
The loser gets fired. The winner gets fired. Just a day later.
hahahaha!
Though I think Pecora may be safe for one more year...fordham started to put it together and get some wins (by fordham standards) towards the end. Hewitt is definitely gone.

I don't agree. The NIT has been closely following the RPI in its selection of at larges since the NCAA took over management. If you figure the top 45 or so RPI teams will be in the NCAA, an RPI in the low 70's is not guaranteed for the NIT given many of its 32 bids could be automatics. The NIT is no longer run like it was a decade ago.
If you looked at last year when they had the same format, teams with RPI's in the low 80's made the NIT as at large teams. The two NIT brackets I could find both have URI listed as a 4 seed. They're in, the only two questions are, do we win it all in Brooklyn and if not what is our seed in the NIT.

URI is in the NIT. Assuming Dayton, VCU, and Davidson are in the NCAA tourney, then URI would be the highest Atlantic 10 team. They will not be left out. You can count on it like the Cubs not winning the World Series.
For the record, I said winning 4 games in 4 (or 5 in 5) days is nearly impossible. NEARLY! Can it be done and has it been done? Yes. But people win the lottery too. I wouldn't make it a habit of betting on a team to win 4-in-4. That's the exception more than the rule.

We have some pretty knowledgeable and helpful people on this board. All you have to do is ask your question.
And to think how much they rave about Google.

Just emailed him back and forth and he's been very helpful. Not sure about the signs yet he's going to check and see. Totally want to bring the Hassan Shot Meter with me
What I've seen concerning the NIT, has us currently as a 4 seed, with GW as a 5 seed.
Of course it's not going to shake out exactly according to RPI, but it would seem we will need to beat GW Friday night, or we could exchange places with GW and not get a home game.
They also have Richmond as a 2 seed. Hey, their RPI is better and they did beat VCU twice along with Davidson, so it makes sense.
Even though I think we're better than they are, and most here would agree.

I think Duquesne will be a tough out. It wouldn't surprise me if they upset somebody. They've played some close games against some of the better teams in the conference. They beat GW & Dayton and lost to VCU by 6 and lost to URI by 1. The team kind of has a jekyll and hyde routine...you never know what kind of team they are going to be on any given night.

The 9 o'clock games are a killer. They won't start until at least 920, with the three games being played before them. You would think the higher the seeds, the better time slots would be given.
We don't need to make a lot of 3s but I can't see URI doing much in this tournament if Garrett and Terrell continue to shoot 3s they way they have been. In the last four games, we would've been better off with Gil and Hassan taking 3s.

La Salle wins 76-69. La Salle moves on to play Davidson at noon tomorrow, UMass' season is probably over unless they'll accept a bid from the CIT or CBI.

Lot more to his game than his 3 point production.
Agree with this and I'll add that I believe we are going to see a whole different shooter next year, as his comfort level rises I think we will see Garrett's shooting percentages incline sharply.

Has to come from somewhere. 28.6% as a team is #339 in the country. Even 32%, which is still below average, would flip some of these losses. #303 in free throw %, too. Killer.
