An ass for every seat = a sellout. That simple. It doesn't matter who is in the seat and how much they paid.

However, he's also mentioned that he took it from MMA fighter Diego Sanchez - it just caught on more with Daniel Bryan because he was more popular at the time. It's like how Krusty used to take bits from Steve Allen.HobbyBurley wrote:The Yes chant comes from Daniel Bryan, mentioned earlier. It's mentioned a bit in his Wiki page if you can be bothered to read through it.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Bry ... .932014.29
"After winning WWE's World Heavyweight Championship, Bryan began shouting "Yes!" repeatedly on his way to the ring and after defeating an opponent. Danielson credits mixed martial arts fighter Diego Sanchez with the inspiration.[267][268] This chant grew in popularity, and has been even heard outside WWE events, at Major League Baseball, National Hockey League and National Basketball Association games,[268][269][270] and even at music concerts, in particular at Andrew W.K. concerts in both Glasgow and Manchester, UK.[271] After turning heel at the start of 2012, Bryan slowly turned against the fans and after WrestleMania 28 he began chanting "No!" instead of "Yes!" Bryan claimed that the fans were mocking him by chanting "Yes!" so he chanted "No!" back at them. This then further encouraged the crowd to chant "Yes!" at him to annoy him as he was a villain. Shortly after turning face, Bryan began saying "Yes!" again, but would still shout "No!" when in a negative situation or showing disdain towards a critique, which also involves crowd participation."

I hope tons of your friends join you. It was so great seeing close to 1000 kids in line before the doors opened for the Nebraska game. When I got out of my car, I could hear the loud chants of "Let's Go Rhody". It was awesome. This is the atmosphere Dan talks about. On Saturday before the doors opened against St. Louis, there were about 20 students on line.gazakaza wrote:Me and BlueSuitMan plan on being in line around 5:15 at the Rhody Student Entrance. Let's see a repeat of the Nebraska atmosphere.

I totally agree with your selections Rod and I am only 28. Picture this; players sitting in the locker room with their beats by dre headphones blaring Fleetwood Mac, just gave me a chuckle thinking about it.rodfromcranston wrote:TP must be living under a rock. Daniel Bryan (see below)

I've been to Tony C's and it is awesome. Huge with TVs as far as the eye can see. I work in Cambridge and I'm TBD right now. The train made me an hour late to work so I fear I may have to stay late to get stuff done.skwalk47 wrote:TruePoint and SmartyBarrett have also expressed interest.steviep123 wrote:Any of those places will be good by me. Lalane suggested the current state of the UMass-URI series has a lopsided feel to it.
Seems a bit arrogant on his part. While they have dominated the series in wins the last few years, the games have been relatively close and they occurred during a down period for Rhody. Besides, UMass isn't exactly Duke. The Minutemen haven't won an NCAA game since 1996 (which was subsequently vacated for NCAA infractions). URI actually has three NCAA wins since that time.

Well, maybe they don't regard it as a rivalry?
To have a rivalry, it can't be so one sided as it's been since
Calipari became coach.
Before that, the season series was pretty close, and we
may have had a slight edge.

Simply put, we need to make it a rivalry based on competition in addition to proximity. Dan hasn't had a better opportunity than tonight to end the losing streak and get his first win vs. UMass. Just win the game and prove you aren't beneath them as Lalanne has alluded to. Losing 10 of the last 11, and 14 of the last 17 is pretty sad. Hopefully his comments light a fire under this team.

Forgot it was 2015 and people get offended over every little thing. It was a joke. If somebody actually did something like that I'd be sick to my stomach and embarrassed to be a URI grad.

He is a frequent guest on the SNL news.
But I do have to agree with Rambone on this one. This really is a huge game, a real barometer type of game, a statement game that puts us beyond the "surprised we have gotten this far along with a record this good" but breaks the streak of UMASS beating us plus puts us ahead in the race for first place,
Hope we win this one for Rambone:-)
