Probably better for you. At least now he can fully recover from his head injury - now maybe he has a shot to make it thru the season.

Word this morning is that a new deal is in the works to revise the NFL drug policy, and possibly negates earlier suspensions... So... First to stash Josh Gordon wins?

Re: Keaney Blue Fantasy Football League!!!
I heard Florio talking about that last night on the pregame. I just don't see any way that the NFL is going to agree to apply a new drug policy retroactively to guys that already violated the previous one. Makes for a good story, but I just don't see it. Having said that, I think it is pretty obvious that Gordon got megascrewed and I didn't think there was any way they would uphold the year suspension in the first place. So what do I know?TexRam wrote:Word this morning is that a new deal is in the works to revise the NFL drug policy, and possibly negates earlier suspensions... So... First to stash Josh Gordon wins?

Re: Keaney Blue Fantasy Football League!!!
I knew last night could be tough for Rodgers but I didn't think it made sense to pick a guy up off the scrap heap and start him over a top-3 QB in the league. Always kills me when they let Kuhn run it in from close, though.

In my money league I took Dunbar late and have #1 waiver claim to get Starks. My buddy has Lacy and DeMarco Murray and is prone to panic. I am about to extort the shit out of him haha.

Re: Keaney Blue Fantasy Football League!!!
Is Gordon the only person facing a year-long suspension right now? If so, I think that might make the NFL more likely to retroactively reduce "suspensions," knowing that he'd be the only one really effected.TruePoint wrote:I heard Florio talking about that last night on the pregame. Re: Keaney Blue Fantasy Football League!!!
Yours truly has Lacy and Ellington in my family league. Damn. Shows you just never know how drafts go. Thought I had a great one with Lacy, Ellington, Bernard, plus Rogers and some good middle tier receivers. But went light on RB depth and am now in DEEP shit. Only Shonn Green in reserve (now that's some deep shit!!!).
Going to dangle Rogers out as trade bait.

3-0 in leagues with money on the line. 0-1 in non-money leagues. I will have a long year in our league if Aaron Rodgers and Jamaal Charles do things like combine for 16 points every week. Pretty confident I'll get better from them.

Truth, that wasn't a horrible trade offer you put out there for me. But Foster gets hurt too much for my taste, plus I think Khiry may have a coming-out party very soon.
Maybe throw a QB trade in there to spice it up... and you may keep Foster.

I'm in 3.5 leagues (co-own a team with a buddy). The Keaney Blue league is the only one that doesn't have money attached, so of course, I'm 3-0. I'm a combined 2-7 in the other leagues. Good times, good times.

Re: Keaney Blue Fantasy Football League!!!
I made it a point to own all players in our Keaney Blue league that I don't own in any other league (where, in fairness, I tend to own a lot of the same players most of the time). Kind of like a hedge team. But that experiment is failing spectacularly so far.

Re: Keaney Blue Fantasy Football League!!!
The scoring is all over the map for me in the four leagues, so the spreadsheet I use spit out different players in terms of priority for each league, haha. There is some overlap though - I have Hopkins and Hilton in three of the four leagues, so I was seemingly more bullish on them than others.TruePoint wrote:I made it a point to own all players in our Keaney Blue league that I don't own in any other league (where, in fairness, I tend to own a lot of the same players most of the time). I think you're being a little hard on yourself, you can't control how much Stafford sucks, that doesn't mean you suck. I've got him in my other league, his schedule gets a lot better and as soon as Calvin comes back he'll be fine.

How does that work? Is it random? I Haven't been able to figure it out. Seems like I usually get my second choice. Got very lucky with Hillmann that way a couple weeks ago.

Re: Keaney Blue Fantasy Football League!!!
This is continual rolling waivers for you, which is what won the vote. It sucks if you ask me, what we need is weekly rolling based on standings, that setting allows the last team to always have the first claim of the week, but then they shuffle to the end of the list for the second round of waivers. The way we have it set now, if the first place team sits on his/her claim for two or three weeks he/she will have one of the first claims, which doesn't seem right at all. I wouldn't be apposed to changing it on the fly if a majority would like to so. Sounds like we would have three votes for a change already.

Re: Keaney Blue Fantasy Football League!!!
Totally disagree. Weekly waivers based on standings is infuriating and totally unfair to everyone except the worst team. It is impossible to ever get access to players that will improve your team if you're a middle of the pack team. You should be rewarded for using your claims discriminatly and not using your claim every week. It's better for the overall player pool to not have a "use it or lose it" system.Running Ram wrote:This is continual rolling waivers for you, which is what won the vote. The one thing I'd be open to, and even favor, is having a FAAB budget for waiver claims rather than an order, so you get a player based on how much you value him relative to the rest of the league.

Re: Keaney Blue Fantasy Football League!!!
I'm not in the league, so feel free to tell me to shut up and go away, but I agree that FAAB bids is the only way to go. I had never really used it or been familiar with it until we switched to it 2 seasons ago in one of my leagues and its seriously been a game changer (in the best way possible).
